Looking forward to our club using their competition as an match simulated training run just like the crows do.
I would prefer that we just used the PAFC Power guernsey and use the PB in the afl to celebrate milestones.
Dream on. REH could probably estimate the cost of that for you. In practice such a coup would probably require buying six SANFL clubs to have a majority then spilling and replacing the SAFC per existing processes, then replacing the SAFC delegates/appointees to the SMA, then renegotiate the AO stadium deal finally on a sane basis, given that cricket doesn't really care about the money from footy. Would take at least five years.
Its an affiliation so they can build a headquarters in the Parklands.I thought it was just an affiliation?
.....ADELAIDE Football Club’s plans to build a new headquarters in the city parklands appear doomed after the lord mayoral candidates refused to back the bold proposal.
All five candidates vying to become the elected head of Adelaide City Council ruled out supporting plans by the Crows to relocate to the green belt. ...
No and you can't have seen the Maggies play if that's your view at the end of the season. That's the unthinking mantra of the "NO AFL IN THE SANFL" brigade. BTW did we ever play 17 AFL-listed players? I doubt it. I think about 15 AFL-listed would have been the norm. In the GF perhaps, where weirdly I think our selection was required to have a stronger AFL component than we wanted.
The core SANFL players gave us the heart of our team. As is the way with a reserves team the AFL-listed players who did well in the Maggies were continually taken up, those who struggled there dropped back. Meanwhile a proportion of the AFL listed players (who had to be played) were not up to SANFL standard. The fact that our SANFL-listed players were strong is what took us to a GF. And the fact the Cows did not develop such a group made them uncompetitive.
Haha there is a $200mil asset waiting to be distributed to the 8 clubs. The AFL isn't going to buy out the SANFL or 6 clubs.

From yesterday's Sunday Mail;
No love for club’s city plan
Don't they still train at Max Basheer Carpark with only one or two sessions a week at Adelaide Oval?About three games into the crows home games Jarman said he had mail that the afc were sick of going back and forth to the portress for training.. Ffs

So they still train a West Lakes yet are complaining about having to travel from the White Elephant to Adelaide Oval for training. No they are allowed to use the stadium oval now.

The club by the sounds of it.Who is they? The supporters or the club?
The old Le Cornus site is vacant. Should be a simple matter getting planning permission to use that...... They didnt even realise its ACC Parklands Act was going to stop that as well as all the Parklands freaks doing everything to stop it.
Somehow missed that other post whilst replying to several posts in this thread. Unbelievable. The club by the sounds of it.
Nope - they just want 5 players from the Blacks to be part of their 15 top up players and all the top up players and the development players on the AFL list to train at Bob Neil #1 once or twice a week.
Trigg and/or Notso stupidly thought they could build a big facility near the current grandstand. They didnt even realise its ACC Parklands Act was going to stop that as well as all the Parklands freaks doing everything to stop it.

We should step in and make some sort of little bother sponsorship deal with the Blacks, especially since they are branded similar to us (magpies).
Throw them some $$, let them have access to our training facilities, within reason (so it doesn't disrupt our program).
Could be handy for recruiting academy & potential league players.. most importantly, cut the Crows lunch!
I must not have edited in the tongue-in-cheek graphic in time. That does have approval - just that Makris wants to build more stories than has been approved to make the profit he reckons its worth. Does Makris support the crows? Three stories is all the crows need. Pretty sure six have been approved but Makris wants ten.
