It really is a great film, yet I hate Shelley so much. She is the main and only downer really. I'm on Jack's side to kill her- and thats not a good thing.

I might read the book actually one day... I'll put it in the "queue".

Apparently Kubrik intentionally made the hallways not fit the layout. Such as hallways that would be outside the exterior of the building, to enhance the subconscious feeling of something not be right.
