Don't understand why people waste money on electronic systems that are rigged to a certain payout %.

Might as well stick to cards or sports betting where you can somewhat predict the outcome.
This.

I'd much rather bet on footy on play a game of cards than sit at a pokie that isn't a game of skill or chance.

I'm so glad that nanny state WA doesn't have pokies, horrible things.

how Antiques Roadshow, which is just a bunch of boring old floggos talking about vases and cupboards, is so addictive and captivating
Where did you find this teapot sir?
Cor me muvva got it handed down to her by her muvva when she was married to the town crier back in the 30s.
Hmmm, very interesting sir - and how much do you think the tea pot is worth?
Cor not sure guvner - maybe around 80 quid?
Sir, I am happy to inform you this was a 17th century teapot made specifically for the King and has somehow been handed down to your family. In pristine condition it would be worth approximately 20 thousand pounds, but as you have used it to brew actual tea, its current value is around 38 pence.

Wearing the guernsey of a team that isn't playing however.....
I went to North Melbourne v Essendon last year on a Saturday arvo, wore my North jumper and scarf, then on my way home my mate asked if I wanted to go to Richmond v Sydney with him at the MCG that night, so I stuck around in the city.

Walked into the game that night and got so many dumb, smartarse comments from people, like "duhhh you know you're at a Richmond v Sydney game don't ya mate?!"

Probably one of the few legit reasons for going to a game as a neutral wearing your club colours

When I'm with my mates at crown they all head over to play roulette and black jack while I can't resist heading over to the poker tables.

Sure, I probably lose in the long run, but its so much more fun trying to read people and bluff people out etc, than having some bored old codger spinning a ball around a wheel deciding your fate.

5 of the top 10 grossing games on the App Store are slot machine games. People are actually paying money to win fake money.

Some of the games in-app "currency" costs are as much as $160 real life dollars.

Plenty of slot machine games outside the top 10 grossing too.

Who are these people, and where did their life go so wrong?

Bizarre.

good to see clash of clans in a solid 9th position.

Should have binned your Norf gear before going to the Richmond vs Sydney game. Would have saved you plenty of grief ;)

You say you found this in a 2nd hand shop, how much did you pay if you don't mind?
Yeah 5 pound. I just liked it
And where do you keep it
In the dunny I like to look at it while ruminating

The above is funny because today whilst in a waiting room it was on and a woman had picked up a broach for 5£ and it was determined they were actual diamonds and that it was from a set from the 1800's and as a set would of been worth about 15,000£ but as just a broach £6000 - she just about passed out.

Some other old guy had a stein from the late 1800's that was worth about £15000
