It’s like it’s pitched at under 10s but was a prime time hit in its day. I can understand adults not really liking it but it has its moments.
It definitely doesn't stand up to repeat viewings anywhere near as much as other great comedies but I think a lot of people that like it even forget how funny some of it was when you seen it the first time nearly 30 years ago.

Only thing I like of his is Black Adder and Maigret

The Black Adder cast is absolutely first class...It's little wonder why it was so successful....Stands the test of time.

Rowan Atkinson, Hugh Laurie, Stephen Fry, Tim McInnerny, Miranda Richardson, Tony Robinson.....All stars in their own right....You'd need a Kings ransom to assemble that lot nowadays.

The appeal of 'The Young Ones'......Sorry, I just don't get it.....Rated it as pure trash, right from the get-go, along-side of The Goodies.

It took all of 5 minutes for the stereo-typed characters to just grate on me.....After that it was Oh so predictable & I was Oh so over it.

Manufactured twaddle, dressed up as alternative realism.

I don't feel like the movies captured the humour in the same way at all, either. They made Bean into a more sympathetic character too.

I don't understand why we are we giving hundreds of millions of dollars of drought relief to farmers when they are largely to blame for climate change with their land clearing and methane production. Its just a bandaid solution. That money should be going towards re-forestation, land conservation and protecting endangered species.

Its cold but I have zero sympathy for their plight.

maybe because we need food to eat, despite what the greenies believe you can’t live on retweets and sunshine.

Its that sort of ideological thinking with no grounding in pragmatism or real life that is the reason the Greens aren't taken seriously as a viable governing party
Yet they get more votes than the Nationals and nearly half as many as the Libs total

I'd be pretty sure the Greens contest more electorates than the Nats do, and "nearly half" is either an odd way of saying 37% or disingenuous

And I'd argue that the number of votes they received was a result of Shorten being shit and the Libs doing nothing about climate change. If either of those things changed the Greens wouldn't get anywhere near the number of votes

seem to be getting similar %ers for a few elections now so I doubt it

I don't understand the decision making process behind Fox Footy's 'classics' that they show as off season filler.

During the last few weeks they've had Ess vs North from 99, Haw vs St K from the same year (10 goal comeback), Geel vs St K from 2009, some GFs etc. which makes sense. But they also throw in random H&A games that aren't memorable or significant. The other night they had WC vs Brisbane from 2006 when we won by 10 goals. Judd had a great game but I wouldn't call that a classic.

Didn't realize that
A. All farmers produce something that releases methane in to the atmosphere
B. They all clear land at the rate at which rainforests are mowed down

Guess u learn something new everyday.
