The amount of times I've been second to the lights only for that little green man to not come up cause that first moron didn't press the button
Yes this does indeed happen.

One particular time when I was up at Surfers- a group of people were waiting for the lights to change, and GM (green man) didnt come up. I shot them all a dirty look, crossed the road anyway- jay walked, cause I'm such a bad arse, and then was waiting at another set of lights (made sure I pressed the button this time)

And I look back to those idiots and the lights go thru another rotation and theyre STILL waiting!!!!!!!
I'm gonna assume they were Queenslanders.. surely Victorians couldnt be that ****ing dumb.

No mate....she had on those flat slipper things the chicks wear....her heels were hanging out of her oversized back. Considered that myself
Lol, ok fair enough. The only other thing if it was raining I'd wait for the tram.

But yeah otherwise I'd walk. Who wants to be in an overcrowded tram anyway? The walk back from the G to Flinders St is one I enjoy after the footy in particulars. Even in heels!!

A few years back I was walking back to town after a Hawks win, I ended up behind a nice young girl in a (very) fitted Hawks top, carrying her heels and walking barefoot. After about 50m or so, a guy came up and offered her a piggy back. From the interaction they had after, it was clear they'd never met.

A few blocks later she decided she had go to his house for a few 'warmups'.

So I guess that's always an option for you?

Yeah but when the lights are making that noise that indicates the button has been pressed and people still come up and bang the button...surely to gawd you know it's already been done?

Hawthorn supporters and even others talking about Jed Anderson as the next Judd. Saw a little bit of him in the Nab Cup and he looked ok but nothing special. Sure he is 18 but the jizzfest about him is ridiculous. Look forward to seeing a bit more of him tommorow though

Is anyone talking about him like that? Sure, people are excited, because he was impressive during the nab cup, but i haven't seen anyone go so far as to compare him to Judd. Certainly hasn't been as hyped as Viney, O'Meara, etc.

One thing I'll never understand is why people (me included) invest so much mentally in the sporting teams we support, when ultimately all most of them do is let you down and leave you wondering why you bother. If you look at the teams I follow you will understand, MUFC and Duke men's basketball (mainly) excepted of course. The rest are shit most of the time.

Win or lose man, we won't serve up the crap that Melbourne did today, they played like they'd raided my stash box.
Yep. We started every quarter like a spliff had been passed around during the break. Maybe I should have had a few myself while watching.

A lot of people do. Seriously people just want to keep piling into the one tram because it is the one that arrived first, even if there is another coming not far off or it is sitting behind the one they are getting on. I remember waiting at Southern Cross for my train after a Carlton/Sydney game a couple of years ago where I decided to walk all the way down to the other end of the platform as there were less people and sure enough everyone decided to pile into the end carriages instead of getting a seat down the other end.

I always find it cringey whenever any rookie is described as the 'next Judd' 'next Ablett' 'next Plugger' 'next Cain Ackland' If they turn out to be as elite as any of those guys (minus Ackland) then they won't even be compared to anyone else. It's a stupid phrase used to hype up young guys and get the fans excited.

These singing shows, what exactly is the point?
The show is purely for the judges not the contestants.
This.
It's so the judges can get their faces on TV and remain relevant.
It's why they always use 'celebrity' judges and not people who actually make decisions at recording companies.
