How long do job interviews go?

Talked to a friend recently who went into a job interview for a dentist job (I presume), and she said it was an hour and a half. Thought that was a bit long.
Depends I guess. That seems ok. In my experience anywhere from 40 minutes to an hour and a half.

I went for an interview once for a grad position. They structured it so you spent 20 minutes to half an hour at a time with a couple of different people. Made sense to get different perspectives on people but each person asked identical questions. By the time I was asked the same inane questions for a third time in the space of an hour or two I had lost interest.

Been a bit shit on the home-front lately with a family member fighting addiction , very toxic atmosphere.
So i've been a bit under par , out in the car today listening to the " M's " , have heard this song a handful of times and liked it , heard it today and it was like a beam of light from the sky.

Then i got home and read the lyrics.....good lord
Like an unsung melody
The truth is waiting there for you to find it
It's not a blight, but a remedy,
A clear reminder of how it began
Deep inside your memory
Turned away as you struggled to find it
You heard the call as you walked away
A voice of calm from within the silence
And for what seemed an eternity
You wait and hoping it would call out again
You heard the shadow beckoning
Then your fears seemed to keep you blinded
You held your guard as you walked away

When you think all is forsaken,
Listen to me now
You need never feel broken again
Sometimes darkness can show you the light

An unforgivable tragedy
The answer isn't where you think you'd find it
Prepare yourself for the reckoning
For when your world seems to crumble again
Don't be afraid, don't turn away
You're the one who can redefine it
Don't let hope become a memory
Let the shadow permeate your mind and
Reveal the thoughts that were tucked away
So that the door can be opened again
Within your darkest memories
Lies the answer if you dare to find it
Don't let hope become a memory

When you think all is forsaken,
Listen to me now
You need never feel broken again
Sometimes darkness can show you the light

Sickening, weakening
Don't let another somber pariah consume your soul
You need strengthening, toughening
It takes an inner dark to rekindle the fire burning in you
Ignite the fire within you

When you think all is forsaken,
Listen to me now
You need never feel broken again
Sometimes darkness can show you the light

Don't ignore, listen to me now
You need never feel broken again
Sometimes darkness
Can show you the light

If this song brings even ONE person back from the brink then it's paid for itself a billion times over !!

What i'm trying to say to everyone is that there's beams of light all around us ( ease up crow lol ) , those who've been in the hole and came back KNOW how deep the light goes.

Hang on

FIGHT

WIN

Good luck, keep us updated how you go. :thumbsu:
Found out that I didn't tick all boxes but they were impressed. They're amending the position description to suit me and creating a Manager role to take care of some other things while I learn. I meet the owner and some other people on Friday. Hoping they make a good offer.

Nice one! :thumbsu: PDs are generally what the ideal candidate will have, to get the job you just have to be better than everyone else that's applying. If they like you and you're willing to learn and clever enough you can be taught what you lack.
