They had a discussion on ABC radio today about ironing and asked people if they ironed their clothes which is less common now.

Quite a few people sent in texts saying that their mums used do a lot more ironing than they do now which is the same for me.

Then someone sent in a text saying Meryl Streep is an avid ironer that loves ironing, the joke went over the host's head though.

The host said that she was quite surprised that Meryl Streep loves ironing, as if Meryl couldn't afford to pay for an ironing lady.

Just after we got to Mum's farm nine months ago I knocked the iron off the top of the bookcase and it broke. (Like who leaves an iron on the top of the bloody bookcase???)

Raced out and bought a replacement.

Still sitting in its sealed box two weeks back when we left.

The guy was shot, unarmed, giving a speech at a university. But he is pro 2nd Amendment and thinks gun deaths are the cost of that so too bad so sad?

The cynic in me tells me Disney only reinstated him because they lost Billions in the stock market because of so many user cancellations of Disney Plus, but i am just so pleased and happy that democracy and freedom of speech is still alive in America

Trump's really gone gaga in the last few weeks (even more so than usual)

This whole Kimmel saga could just be the kick-start to the end of his terror and bigoted reign of incompetence as President.

Disney has lost almost half its value since its peak 4 years ago. They have bigger things to worry about than Jimmy Kimmel.

Bill Maher was 'cancelled' from ABC 20 years ago for upsetting conservatives and is fine. TV host/comedian makes comment that upsets people - total storm in a teacup.

The US is cooked but Disney fired their own popular TV show actress because they didn't like her (off air) politics. If Kimmel had said the Charlie Kirk shooter was a trans woke blah blah whatever they probably would've fired him so they are hardly some bastion of free speech.

Anyway nothing about this pleases me except South Korea being a dictatorship.
