Things that please me - Part 6

i was looking thru an old subfolder on my work's network drive, in a personally named subfolder, and found a spreadsheet i created about 20 years which had my first 7 years of superannuation balances at each 30 June (that i would have manually entered from paper statements at the time).

being the nerd that i am, i went online and got all my statements for the period since, which were remarkably all available online, and completed the data entry.

gotta love compound interest

of the latest balance (no Dollars in the chart), around 40% of it is has been from my employers mandatory contributions, and 63% is investment returns (and -3% is fees and insurance premiums i have paid)

my average annual return on investments is 7.4%.
i remember when i signed up i was told it should average at least 7% over your working life.

sonsofbitches were right.

Give us the dollars on the left axis so we can fully appreciate regularly chipping in and compound interest.

My requirements are a little more basic tbh, watched some vids of teach shredding and yeah, he's probably qualified to instruct me!

Angus Young move at the most then.

Interlop got rhythm.

Don't do a Jimi jimi hendrix and play with ya teeth 🤣.
The guy who cooked the Purple Haze acid at Monterey emigrated to Australia in the early 80s and died in a car accident in North Queensland ten or so years ago.

My back has seized up just thinking about all that walking. I can’t even hang the washing without severe sciatica atm.

So happy I found that Cafe with the black lab...$14.50 sticky date and coffee.

You're forgetting that marriages don't abide by the Marquess of Queensberry rules though, that's when I get a verbal knee to the aggots.
Tell her hit in nuts more painful than childbirhh.

From little things big things grow.

Also subfolder. Thought u was gonna say it’s full of 🌽

Yesavage and the Blue Jays. I'm not much of a baseball fan but I like a good fairy tale, and my mum's Canadian. I hope they can go all the way.
Been fun following them over here! Everyone on the bandwagon. The team seems to have great chemistry and there have been a lot of dramatic moments throughout the playoffs.

While avoiding work yesterday we figured out who was making what and Yesavage being such a late callup was getting ~$50k USD in 2025 compared to the Dodgers starter Blake Snell who signed a contract for $182 million over 5 years.

Guess who let up a home run in the first inning?
