What are some cheap courses in Melbourne to play on? I only ever play when I'm back in Albury and can get around in 9 for $10 or $18 at the upmarket course.

Tirhatuan Lakes in Rowville used to be awesome. Public course so it's dirt cheap, well designed and well kept. Haven't played there in a few years though.

18 holes is about $30 on the weekend.

Amstel in Cranbourne is a bloody nice course too. $32 for 18 holes on weekends.

Regarding cheap golf courses, Albert Park is $20 for 9, $30 for 18 from memory. Great central position and a nice easy course for a newbie.

Yep and from memory the 16th, 17th and 18th all run along Queens Road. If you have a hook (right hander) the oncoming traffic could be in danger haha

Easy to get in to Albury for free. Mates with a couple of young guns and they just tell the pro's they are taking a couple of mates around for a hit

Yeah, you don't even have to walk past the clubhouse to get on the first tee so its incredibly easy to sneak onto. But I'd rather pay and have piece of mind rather than have the thought of being caught in the back of my mind as I go round.

Went down to the library and got my copy of The Lottery so I'm all ready for tomorrow's mega draw!
