Entry: $10 (can be $20+)
Early beers: $4 pots (say 6?) $24.
Middle beers: $6 bottles of beer (4) $24.
Late night drinks: Vodka, bourbon etc $8 each (5) $40.
Food: Souva ($8)
Cab: Obviously it varies. My average would be about $30?

$136. I would say 15 drinks would be pretty standard if you're out for 6 hours. I also didn't mention shots or shouting friends whilst pissed which would push us over $150. May also go to more than 1 venue?

Yeah, it's pretty hard to stay under $100 in Melbourne. Cover charges are ridiculous. Paying to get into a club so you can spend more money, when did that become accepted?

By comparison, this past Saturday night for me:

  • Dinner (homemade seafood laksa) at home before going out (6:30pm) - $0 (already had the gear in the pantry/fridge)
  • Tertiary student bus ticket to town (8:15pm) - $2.40
  • Five $2 subsidised drinks at a 21st (9:15pm-12:30am) - $10 (skipped the free food, as I wasn't really hungry, and don't usually get into party pies, cakes, chips and fare of that ilk anyway)
  • Entry fee at a venue where I was meeting friends (1am)- $5
  • Six $2.50 lemonades (got a pair for free because I'm a regular) - $10
  • Entry fee at another venue we eventually moved on to (2:45am) - $5
  • Two more $2.50 lemonades - $5
  • Tertiary student bus ticket home (4:45am) - $2.40
  • Hot breakfast (baked beans, eggs, toast, orange juice) at home once returning, before going to bed (6am) - $0 (again, already had the gear in the pantry/fridge)
Total - $38.80 :p One of the better nights out I've had in a while as well.

I'm not hanging around at 4am to catch a bus that's for sure, I'm getting a cab.

These days I only drink enough to have a good time. Never write myself off anymore. Too expensive, feel horrible the next day.

Also, what's the deal with getting to the 21st after 9PM? You would've missed the speeches and half the party.

I could go home earlier if I wanted (buses at 12:30am, 1:30am, 2:30am, 3:45am as well as 4:45am), but I choose to stay out that late  Still plenty of people and life in the venues I frequent around that time.

Even if I wanted to go home earlier, I'd always go by bus if I could; I live 40km from the city, so a cab home costs $70-$80. I can't justify that kind of spend for a ride home (even think the $25-$30 most people spend is pretty excessive), especially when there's other transport options available.

It only began at 8:30pm, and speeches didn't happen until a bit before 11, so I didn't miss anything.

How the heck did you manage that in Adelaide? I consider myself going over budget if I've spent $60, since that's usually 8 drinks or so.

The only times I've encountered people spending that much is a) rounds of Jagerbombs b) the Crazy Horse.

Thank you!

Hahaha yeah I love Stans dad + two friends "hiking" thru the "snow/global warming" to where Cartman and Stan are. Fecking hilarious- wonder what the producers of TDAT think about that ep, lol.

You can watch every episode here

Randy, Cartman and Butters are the best. Randy wins overall though. Everything he says is ****ing hilarious.
Another good episode that is possibly on season 9, is when Randy does the worlds biggest crap.

God I love South Park.

Me too and you're bang on the money about Randy. He is the funniest character from any show ever!

lol yep that was hilarious. His general character adds major laughs in everything he appears in, even if he doesn't star. Good examples are world of warcraft and the facebook episode.
Him getting sucked into every fad that pops up (like hybrid cars, facebook etc) is one of Randy's trademarks.

The sound of thud when the ball meets the bat in the middle, you feel no vibration in hand, no kick back just a gentle throb and the ball flies back to where it comes from.

The bowler's hands?

Another classic Randy moment, the guitar hero episode.

This. Happened with my first real attempt at a cut shot in the last match of last season, absolutely flew. Just rocked back, no effort, and I ****ing loved it. :D:thumbsu:
