How did you choose Carlton living all the way over there??
I should have been an Essendon supporter really.
Immigrant family with no footy interest so I was left to my own devices.
All my schoolmates followed eagles or dockers so I wanted to be different.
watched footy as a neutral and loved kouta & skinny lappin. wrote a letter to Carlton informing them of my support, they sent me back a bunch of posters and stickers, been a bluebagger ever since.
Adelaide Oval has brought a whole lot of non Crows/Port fans out of the woodwork. Football Park was such a horrible place to go to it just wasn't worth the effort. You would be surprised how many West Australians don't support either of the local teams.

Sometimes they're really shit. HBF's Nana turned 100 a couple of years ago and is a lifelong Bombers fan. HBF's sister bought her a card and asked Essendon players to sign it and they refusedCan relate except with Bombers. My first game was actually an Essendon one and we lost.
And lol that is cute.
Teams can be pretty good. My friend was a life long Fitzroy supporter and changed to Brisbane after the merge. I bought him a Brisbane card for his birthday and sent it to the football club, asking them if they could sign it for him and send it back. They did.![]()

Gary Ablett Jnr was really kind and recorded a super funny video for my cousin's 21st last year. That does suck.
Every time I've approached Geelong players (retired ones too- met Gary Ablett Snr!!!! I almost died... -insert terrible joke here)... anyway... yeah they've all been pretty good.
I met Peter Riccardi at LOTI after the Crows game. He looks the same as when he played.
PS. BALKS- he doesn't care if the ball was touched.![]()

I think clubs have become more aware of these sort of things turning up on eBay, which I'm sure Nana wouldn't have done, it's a sad sign of the times.Sometimes they're really shit. My dad once swam next to Max Bygraves.
When someone told me Geelong were 15 points up in the 4th quarter it put a huge smile on my face and from then on, I was the happiest person at the wedding I was attendingWhen Pods got carted off, and then Krakouer converted, I was on top of the world...
I've previously posted a pic of how my day ended
I beat his brains out too at swimming. (Lloyd not that guy)
