Brought it back to the table where we had managed to attract a group of girls from Split, and one of them fair dinkum chugged a third of the bottle before my very own eyes! I still find it weird if someone just tells me how much they get paid. It's not information I need or can do a lot with.
For people who work in banking and finance etc. maybe it's normal to discuss bonuses since they are commonplace. To people who don't get bonuses (as in they aren't payable, not they are poor at their jobs) it's kinda weird.

lol WOW! Crazy money, guess she has worked hard to get that far, can't begrudge her, or your family of that.
You're pretty lucky to come from a family who will never financially struggle. Don't take it for granted.

Nah I don't take it for granted. And they've made sure that my siblings and I make the most of the advantages that have been afforded to us. I like to think we have to some extent.
Mum's pretty incredible. She finished uni in the late 80s and started as a junior financial consultant straight out of uni. She made her way up the ladder when women still by and large had a glass ceiling in the workplace. All while raising three kids with my Dad. She doesn't have an A-type personality either. She let her performance do the talking as opposed to a brash ego, and her calm but decisive demeanour helped her get far in life.
Dad's similar to Mum, but he had less societal obstacles to overcome in his field.

My dad knows how much I earn because I talk to him about negotiation etc when I'm up for promotion or I want a pay rise. I know what some of his accounts are worth but only if it comes up in passing conversation, and have a rough idea on my mum/stepdad/stepmum's salaries because of their industries, but it's not a regular topic of conversation.

My Ex could do it on a regular basis....Math genius.
I'd chime in with 2 or 3 intuitive 'guesses' and she'd just shake her analytic head at me & laugh....After 6 months of 'guessing right' she finally accepted there was more than 1 way to crack an egg after all....Even though I had to explain 'how' I'd arrived at my answer every-time.

So you toss 'cobra-at' about, & get a type of gymnast....simples.
It' a good way to broaden the ways you think/imagine things.
A strong mid-year review. Had areas of opportunity pointed out at the end of last year so happy people are noticing things.

4. planning on having children?
5. (after having first child) when are you having your second?
6. asking females how old they are
the only experience ive had with persons asking about 1-3 are from professionals who ar ein industries that pay handsomely. a few persons come to mind, they ask so that they can judge, and ask because they want you to reciprocate the question, which results in LOOKATME spiel
Mmm i really don't see anything wrong with 2 or 3. You may be interested in purchasing a house in that area and want to know the market value or may be interested in buying that model of car .

it much depends on the person asking, and in my case its nothing to do with wanting to obtain dwelling in the area, or acquiring the same motor vehicle.

Not related to crowy but I find a very high percentage of wealthy people an absolute bore. I also find a decent percentage of non wealthy people spend way too much time wondering what it would be like to be one of those bores.
My Uncle is like that. Him and his wife are very obsessed with money. They have properties and invest in stocks etc. They love talking money and can't believe that people have other priorities. I once asked my Auntie what she got up to during the day ( she retired at 40 ).She stated oh well I've got the stocks to manage.
They can find out 2 with like a 30 second google search anyway.
