There's this pub near where I used to live that no one under the age of 50 attended. It's main clientele consisted of conservative, NIMBY, over 50's, who enjoyed nothing more than gasbagging about pointless bullshit, whilst whittling away an overpriced carvery buffet.

Anyway the owners, who have long espoused their customers overt tendencies to fear any sort of progression, surprisingly decided to renovate the place. In the past, a renovation for these people meant replacing the old carpet with carpet exactly the same, and perhaps adding a new LCD in the bar area. This time, they spent millions completely redesigning the hotel, as well as the café next door, along with opening a new terrace and beer garden. It's not completely finished yet, but it's actually bloody nice, and according to my girlfriend, we'll be going there all the time from now on. Let's just hope the old farts stay away.

Having new blood in the office. (Just got back from LSL yesterday). The guy he replaced (while I did like him) just turned into the biggest grumpiest old fart who definitely needed to retire. Now we have what seems a great guy, with an accent I can listen all day to (London) who seems cool. And a soccer fan, so maybe I can make him a Geelong supporter.
