If your work in IT, no one would know what you're talking about. :D

Which leads to answering this thread... because IT in my experience is a field made up of people who usually have no interest in sport at all (except in 2013, when I worked in IT last, where sport was never spoken about until the week of the GF, where everyone suddenly was a Freo supporter ) and thus when your team has embarrassing loss, no one ever brings it up. :thumbsu:

I had a kick to kick with Warren Tredrea in August 2004, in the centre of Football Park. He was probably the best player in the AFL at that point in time, and he was my favourite player, so I was absolutely stoked.

Some people forget just how good he was. In terms of centre half-forwards, he's right up there with Jonathan Brown and Nick Riewoldt; he was possibly even better than them as a true centre half-forward.

Teacher in a young department. I was testing the waters to see if there was anyone who knows Bigfooty.

Been in IT for 16 years, footy and cricket massive topics of conversation

He wasn't as good as either Riewoldt or J.Brown, and I'd put him behind Richo and Buddy too if you wanna include him in that 'era'

Tredrea at his peak was dominant, but I don't think his peak lasted long enough. 2001-2005 he was a genuine star of the comp, AA CHF 4 years in a row from 01 to 04.

Buddy > Roo/Pav > Richo > Tredrea > Brown, IMO. Solid group, though.

Sometimes they're really shit. HBF's Nana turned 100 a couple of years ago and is a lifelong Bombers fan. HBF's sister bought her a card and asked Essendon players to sign it and they refused
That's a grade shitful, how long ago was it?

When someone told me Geelong were 15 points up in the 4th quarter it put a huge smile on my face and from then on, I was the happiest person at the wedding I was attending :).

You're a better man than me. I've not attended weddings for less!

I work in it at a big us IT vendor, I knew it was he place for me when upon walking in for my interview the first thing I saw was the hawks premiership team photo from the herald sun stuck up on the wall.

Meeting footballers...

I thought I was the shit in Grade 7 when John Longmire shook only my hand in class :D

But I think my greatest 'achievement' is that a country cricketing hack like me has played alongside 2 Test cricketers in my time. Combined, they achieved 3 matches!

I was stunned at the state of Subiaco when I went there several years ago. Stunned.

We also lost.
Which one? 2014.

And you see why we laugh at people complaining about Ethiad

From 2001 to 2005, no centre half-forward was as good as Warren Tredrea. He was the best in that position for nearly half a decade. Buddy only started to come good in the latter part of 2007. Brown was the best CHF from 2006 until maybe 2009. Riewoldt has been consistently very good for his whole career, but he was a touch behind Tredders during the 2001-2005 period. Richo? Hahaha, you joker, you.

In 2004, he was probably the best player in the competition.

Moving from Subiaco to Perth Stadium almost needs an intermediate step the difference will be so stark.

I sat on one of the wooden bench seats for Freo vs Geelong the other week. If it was a suburban stadium with a few thousand seats I'd have considered it quaint. I sat in the Three Tier Stand for many years at WC games. I think I outgrew my seat as a small 14 year old.
