Second hand use is much better than extra landfill.

Of all the weird eccentricities he has this is one I just don't get.
It's the same bloke that goes out of his way to report poor service at a store.

Not surprising and clearly too much time on his hands.

I don't have a problem with people taking stuff. In fact, it was very handy when I moved country. I was able to get rid of a bunch of useful things that would have been a waste going to the tip.

The world would be a much better place if people reused and recycled more instead of sending everything to landfill. Some people are so creative and can do amazing things with items that other people consider to be rubbish....or even if they use it in its original form, at least someone's getting something out of it.

Reporting someone for taking something that you don't want anymore and you've put outside for the express purpose of getting rid of it is petty AF.

I put it out the front for it to be disposed of, not for some random person to steal it and use it for themselves.

Hey now I just play by the rules set by my local council, I expect other people to do the same.

I admit it's amusing to watch people go through other peoples stuff like greedy vultures - especially when they have no shame and do it in broad daylight.
fair enough and thank you for having the courage to post your thoughts here.

you are indeed playing by the rules. have you ever broken the speed limit?

I get great joy out of watching the truck take something large like a bench press for example and crushing it :p.

lately ive had a problem. eating a lot of yoghurt which creates direct conflict with stomach sensitivities. anyway, afterwards i need to release inner contents into a toilet, as bowl from the southern end. after i finish my over, wipe and clean, up and go. less than 30 mins later im starting to get an itchy sensation from the south, and i have to excuse myself, depant and wipe again to find remnants of my maiden over smeared. another wipe and im now ok.

* eating yoghurt as i post

I think it's really sad that you take pleasure in creating more rubbish.

Hey now I'm just polluting the environment like everyone else that drives a car.

Those carbon emissions.

but you touch your phone while driving.
Actually I don't even do that, very against using the phone to text/talk while driving. I don't do it and admonish anyone that does.

I like predicting whether or not the stuff you put out will be taken and how long it will take.

For instance this year:
- Large purple suitcase in good condition: 3 days
- Boogie board: less than 1 day would have been hours it was gone.

It's poor form if they dig around and leave a mess, .
Or take lawn mowers that weren't part of the hard rubbish at all. :D

We put a bike out and someone put it back in our yard presuming it wasn't for collection :D

My other half and the neighbour have turned the yearly collection into a competition as to who has the better junk based on how long it takes to taken.

Ahhhhh hostels. Sometimes you love them, and then other times they have their moments.

Woken up this morning to a guy yelling his head off in my room out the window at some chicks causing a bit commotion on the street.

The girls weren't loud enough to wake me, or anyone in the room for that matter... But this campaigner at top voice ("shut up you dumb bitches or I'll come down and tie you to a tree") from 3 metres away was pretty hard to ignore. Serious anger management issues.

Reminds me of when I was in New Delhi, and the morning Muslim prayer was quite loud in a neighbouring building.

A fellow hosteler felt it within their right to yell out the window to shut the **** up.

Somewhat embarrassing.

Sorry man, I get a bit like that when I don't get a solid 8 hours sleep.

Commentators now informing us why said player is getting boo'd.

And there's some boo's for Jarrod Waite, he use to play for Carlton so that's fine, all in good fun.
A couple of boo's for Crameri there, but that's ok, oh wait Cooney intercepts and a couple of boos there, the umpire calls it a free kick, couple of boo's there but they're umpires so play on.

Australian media can treat it's watchers/listeners as if they are about as intelligent as an 8 year old.

Agree, as someone that watches a lot of British commentary (football & cricket) the difference is amazing. Unfortunately Richie Benaud was one of the last greats Aus commentators.

Oooo FFS I've gone to the TV room to relax on the couch and ****en angry ant from my room has come down and he's bailed up some guy and offering his expert wisdom on how Germany is slyly taking over the world through the EU, and what the government can do to stop heroin being imported from china... Amongst other things... He's only been sitting behind me for five minutes and he's already covered at least ten different topics. Now he's on to corruption in tesco's.

This guy ain't a beer short of a six pack. He's only got the first beer to begin with.

At least I know he's not in the room so I might head back there for more sleep.
