English drivers licensing people.
Been in the UK for quuite a bit longer than 12 months, so have to convert my license to a British one to be able to drive. Fair enough, seems to be easy enough, just show them you have a full license with some cash and they'll chuck you one in the mail.
Get the form - turns out you need to send them your australian license and passport in the mail, which you will receive your passport and british license back after 4 weeks. FOUR WEEKS?! It literally says on the form "Do not send in your passport if it is needed within four weeks, otherwise you could consider delaying your licence application until you can send us your passport." How do they expect you to go id less, let alone passport less, for a month while europe is so close?
Better than Americans I suppose, who have to sit the test, because not being from the Commonwealth apparently makes you a worse driver...?
