You stick to that fantasy of yours.

Nobody is avoiding me specifically
Considering your attitude about life seems to be "if I'm doing it everyone else should to" I'd avoid you if I was them.

Seriously who gives a **** if they don't want to go out and do that shit? Either try and see if you can compromise and hang with them in an environment more acceptable to both of you or find some new friends.

No, my attitude is that people should make an effort or at least be honest as to why they're not coming to see myself and my mates (highly doubt they've got any type of issues these two). I have copped shit in the past from them and others when I very rarely didn't go to something, so of course I'm going to get shitty at them when they start doing the same thing regularly. My old man and his mates certainly don't pull that shit on each other.

I'm mainly shitty at them for dogging myself and my mates a week or two ago when they pulled out of a restaurant meet-up we organised (a month in advance) thirty minutes before we were due there saying they couldn't be bothered.

Is that really being unreasonable to be annoyed at them for doing that kind of thing?

You want them to be honest yet when they say they can't be bothered you get shitty.

Seems a perfectly plausible excuse to me.
That was once. The one who can't be bothered is notorious for giving myself and my mates shocking excuses as to why he hasn't come.

The other one is clearly enjoying lots of time with his girlfriend, which is fair enough but don't lie about being tired from work or whatever.

I think most of us have mates that demonstrate those traits. Rather than cry about it or lose sleep over it just play accordingly.

Make your plans so that it doesn't matter if they show up or not.

High school/Uni friends don't usually stay friends forever. Most move on. It sounds like they have already. Not much you can say or do.
Realise that. Tends to be a bit different where I'm from though, because footy and other activities have friends still being with each other regularly. The excuses guy still sees us weekly at footy and doesn't hang with anyone outside of his schoolmates so wouldn't be the case.

The other one seems to just be really whipped right now.

Every bloke goes through the whipped phase whether they want to acknowledge it or not (cept me of course cos tough powerful alpha). If you haven't, you will, and you may not even realise it.

Sometimes they're not heading out because the clamps have been put on them by their missus, but it's actually a different, settled lifestyle where you're just not keen to head out as frequently when there's crumpet at home.

Yep, when you're going out just for the expensive drinks and the shit music there's not much incentive.
Not to mention there's always the prospect of arriving home to the fun police who want to smell your cock* and make sure you didn't have a good time.

The enjoyment of heading out at times won't compensate for the above.

*not literally (but maybe) but you know what I'm saying

No, but at least make an effort to see your friends if you're given the chance.

Making up pissy excuses is pissweak.
So really if he has a valid excuse it's OK?

**** me, if he doesn't want to come out, he doesn't want to. It's his decision, grow up and accept it. He doesn't need to do something because you want him to.

Telling someone at the last second you can't be bothered or whatever is ******* rude.

But if he had a more creative excuse (lie), it'd be OK?

What difference does it make if he's there or not? Can you not have fun without him? If that's the case you need to do better things or find better friends.
