Do we have a "not worth a thread" thread on GD? If not, that shits me. Which leads me to what I was going to put in it. Has anyone had acupuncture before? Having it tomorrow. Any good/bad experiences with it?
To make it thread relevant, it shits me that I don't know anyone that has had it to tell me about it.

Had it, didn't really do much for me.

It's not at all a bad experience though. It doesn't feel like you would expect someone is sticking needles in your back to feel.

Waking up and thinking its Friday and then realising its only Thursday :(
So much this. Except replace Friday with Saturday and Thursday with Tuesday.. glory be knows what I was thinking. Had the best feeling thinking about how lazy I was going to be this fine Saturday morning - then BAM, reality struck and realised it was Tuesday :(.

I have it, but with a traditional chinese acupuncturist - none of this western crap. Have a very, very long term hip injury and despaired of ever having relief from the pain but after 3 visits while not completely pain free, I was comfortable with it and with ongoing treatment able to for the first time in many years exercise without aggravating it and causing more damage. I now attend monthly to maintain it along with having work done on my shoulder (from spending to much time on the computer  and answering phones) - best thing I have ever done and I couldn't give a toss how much it costs me (I see it as an investment) - haven't been to a physio or chiro since starting 12 months ago.

My son recently experienced shin splints and against his better judgement went along and within 2 visits was back exercising pain free.

I highly recommend it.

Allans music went into administration a while ago. I heard about this.

Today I decided I want an acoustic guitar (I have 2 electrics, a bass and one acoustic that's ****** and has no strings), so I went to look at websites and saw 'CLOSING DOWN SALE EVERYTHING 50-80% OFF'.

Administrators, meaning 'get rid of the stock and squeeze as much money as you can out of it' doublefacepalm.gif

So now I'm going to do the ring around and see if I can get a half decent acoustic cheaply, and if they have a schecter sitting around that's well priced I'll probably pick that up too.

However it's been a long time since they went into admin (August) so I'll probably miss out.

Things that shit me: That it didn't click in my thick head that administration=fire sale.

If it makes you feel better, my friend went to their 'crazy sale' to get some guitar equipment and they were literally pricing things at about 5% off, making them still more expensive than other places. They might have cut their prices since then, but I don't think you missed out by not getting in super early :thumbsu:

Ok this is a bit long winded.

So I assume a few people on here drive, and when they drive you need to use the odd side street

So you know when you go to exti a side street and some city jackaroo has parked their 4x4 too far from the footpath, so you cannot see on coming traffic

As a result you have to creep out so you can see what is coming – but fro some reason, people feel the need to give you a glare or honk their horn despite the fact it is very clear that you cannot see the traffic coming AND you moved back out the way.

Honestly, I realise I WAS for a fraction of a second in your lane, which apparently you own, but I am not now and was never in direct danger of causing an accident, so giving me shit for trying to get out of the side street is just lame.

The same goes for people who feel the need to honk their horn at green lights when they clearly can’t see that other side of the intersection is full, which is why the lane isn’t moving.

This guy.

Not funny at all. I hate all the sillys like him, and all the sillys that find him funny.
Funny, was just talking about that with a mate 15 minutes ago. He used to be alright, now he's turned to shit. Everything is about sex, drugs, pedophilia and 1D. It's not funny anymore.

Bring back the dreamteam videos.

Thanks, great to hear!

They are, in general a massive rip off, I'm just hoping that they will get desperate.
I went last weekend, still a ripoff, needed a strap and the cheapest after the reduction was still 20 bucks. No guitars of any descriptoon left, no amps under 500 or so bucks. Even what they had seemed expensive for such a big sale...

Same thing last week for me - back of knee

How did it go
The needles are so fine, hard to even notice it. I don't know how I got my jeans on without realising it was sticking out the front of my leg :p.

It went well though. I've gone to the guy who did it my whole life (homeopath, naturopath, osteopath, and acupuncturist), and he thinks it will help with my legs and back, so I'll go by his word. Looking forward to hopefully some good results after however many more sessions.

Hmm. Might make a phone call first. Thanks for the heads up.

Americans whinging they've been forgotten after the "superstorm" while the rich areas are getting seen to first... Really, they're playing that card when the countries that got hit before America have barely been mentioned on the news, meanwhile there's a concert to raise funding to restore New Jersey...

Yeah but it doesn't save them time. And that's the way of it unfortunately.
