Religious people who make rediculous claims, and fail to provide a single piece of evidence. I have a mate who's trying to make a claim that Homosexuals are more likely to be sex offenders. Never have I heard so much bullshit in my life
Prove they arent.

Thats their argument isnt it?

If they provided a reference to back up the claim I'd at least respect them, but simply making a claim witout evidence is just bullshit. Also I don't have to prove anything. The argument was invalid, because they didn't back it up with evidence of any sort.

And you can't make a valid argument without sound research, be it previous research, or through your own research.

according to your logic I could simply say people who live in Los Angeles are criminals. (Doesn't make it valid)

Implying that the only people who made ridiculous claims without evidence to back it up are people who follow a religion.

Hmmm you know what, you're right. I guess it was directly related to a particular friend on FB, and everything they said was backed up by all their christain friends. Certainly not saying all christians arelike that, but a lot of christians I've met that actively go to church are strongly against homosexuality, and some of the opinions I've heard are really disrespectful. But I should have worded it better...My mistake:) .

Religious zealots who do not even understand the basic tenets of their own religion, who then disagree with an atheist who better understands their religion than them...almost unfailingly ending in their claiming to not be linked to any one faith, but believing in a generic God which cannot be interrogated due to his/her having no form or function.

Farkin dimwitted arsehats.

So what's your favorite Madonna album?
"if his answer is anything but, I don't have any Madonna albums"
You've got a gay!

Back on topic;
People who cross just around the corner from a set of traffic lights with a crossing, almost hit a pedestrian who decided to cross before the lights around a blind corner...

yeah I don't get it either, Traffic lights are there for a reason. I don't get people that think they're cool walking through traffic lights before they turn green. That's how people get hit.
When I go to the train station, they don't have pedestrian boom gates. Its a high traffic station, and a while back I waited for a train and watched everyone get off and cross the tracks. Its scary to see how many people just walk straight over the tracks without looking.

From my viewing, I noticed the people most likely to look fully before crossing are older. most of the people walking straight across without lookign were young girls.

Hot weather, first remotely warm day of the year and already I am pining for winter. Air-conditioning and cricket are the only two things that make summer tolerable.

Sun! Sand! Swimming! Surfing! Sailing! Sundresses!

How can you not love summer when you live in Melbourne? I'd have thought you'd appreciate it more than anyone.
I hate the beach, ******* sand gets everywhere and I can't stand salt water, I can't surf and I blow chunks just by stepping on a boat that's moored. I guess I'm just not a summer kind of guy.
An English spring is by far the best time anywhere in the world.

Summer in Australia is just brilliant. There's no shortage of countries with a milder climate and fantastic, cold winters, even Tasmania would suffice.

Gonna crank the bbq, cook up some marinated chicken, and have a beer. :thumbsu: Life's not perfect, but this evening is pretty damn close.

Actually did suprisingly. Being in the morning there weren't many people on it so not many stops for the first bus and I got to my 2nd bus with a few minutes to spare. The way home however was not so quick but was not worried because I was doing **** all, all day :)

A school girl a few mates of mine knew got hit and killed by a train doing the exact same thing in around '04 or so.

She pulled back open the spring gate that is for people leaving the crossing and stepped right into the path of the express train that was coming through.
