The inevitable call for Punter to retire.
That it's harder to get out of the Australian team (as a batsman) then it is to get in. Once again a batsman stays on 2 or 3 years too many. With him pulling out a decent innings every 7 - 10 times, enough for their fans to say 'See he's still got it' and for the selectors to use it as an excuse to sit on their hands another series instead of showing some balls.

I would have agreed 5 or 10 years ago but not now. The reality is there’s nobody bashing the door down to get in. If there was a queue of young batsmen making consistent runs at in the Shield then they should (and I think they would have) sent him on his way. We’ve actually handed quite a lot of Test debuts to batsmen over the last 2 -3 years and none of them have shown they’re going to do a better job than an ageing Punter.

Test selection is simple, (1) pick your best team, (2) don’t change it unless somebody is underperforming, (3) replace that bloke with somebody who’ll do the job. It’s the third step where Australian cricket is falling over at the moment. I think they showed with the Haddin / Wade situation that they’re willing to make the correct, dispassionate decision when they can.

The fact that next year I'll have to fork out full fees in TAFE even though I have no done the subjects or have to repeat it. Bloody TAFE swindling money out of people.

Another thing. How dare the supermarkets whine and complain and play the role of victim in the self-serve so-called "rorting" issue when they have been doing it to us and the farmers for decades.

Consider yourself lucky...anyone who toots these days is asking for trouble...and unfortunately so...one woman I know was followed home to her house for tooting and if it wasnt for hubby standing watering the lawn who knows where that was ending.

Swear about sillys in your own car but no toot...no middle digit etc.

Two sillys going at it...

This kind of behaviour is really pissing me off. It's like peoples egos are so out of control atm that they just can't handle that they are doing something wrong and even so when someone points it out so they just have to go on the offensive and become ****en victims.

People just dont give a **** about the road rules and mobile phones. The worst is when you just know they are checking facebook.

A $1000 fine and lost of 10 demerit points should fix it.

Disagree.

If somone is doing something completly stupid on the road, esspecially if it could put you in danger, then you should honk and let them know about it.

They need to know they are driving like a wanker.

Edit

Good luck with that. Learnt that a golf club waved through a windscreen at Kew Junction in 1990 is not going to end well. Keep tootin'.

It's everywhere...shops, footy, cinemas, night clubs....anyone that is questioned wants to go the biff or verbal attack.

Not having a go at you specifically but since this is the 'Things that shit me' thread:

Lost demerit points.

You don't lose demerit points. Losing demerit points would be a good thing. You accrue demerit points. If you started out with 12 merit points on your licence you could lose those for acting demeritoriously but that's not how it works.

Shits me.

Nah, see this is where I go the punishment should fit the crime. These people should be banned from having or using mobile phones for 5 years (if they are caught using one in a non-life or death situation hello jail time). Similarly banned from facebook and the like. That would mess with them way more than demerit points or the fine.

LOL. What?
How the hell would you police it? Everyone would have to carry around a mobile phone licence?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again... road rage is for ******s. No matter how justified the ****** thinks it is.

I can’t fathom how people can’t simply accept that people make mistakes when driving. All the time. Think about it, you’re doing something that takes a bit of skill and concentration, and you’re crossing paths with countless numbers of unknown, completely random strangers every day. And people act surprised and get angry when something minor goes wrong?

It’s just an outlet for something else. If you actually think you’re achieving something with your anger, you’re a nuffy. “they need to know about it”??? LOL... do you think anybody who “gets honked” pays it the slightest bit of mind after 2 minutes?

Gasometer is spot on. The only thing you’ll ever achieve is (a) spending a good deal of your life angry and agitated, and (b) one day picking a fight with some unhinged lunatic who’ll take matters into his own hands. Yes yes, we know, you don’t care, it’s the internet, everybody’s a fearless hero on here.
