Its and It's are difficult for me.

I know you use the apostrophe when saying it is as in "It is a ******* shitty day" - "It's a ******* shitty day"

But you also use it as an apostrophe of ownership - ie "It's cover is coming off." - right?

Or am I just being a glue-sniffing ******* idiot?

Would of/could of and He's and his (and my boss' favourite - bought and brought) shit me though.

Maybe I'm a hypocrite because I'm just as bad when it comes to this ******* apostrophe.

It's is a contraction of It Is or It Has

'Its' is possesive. your example "It's cover is coming off" should be "Its cover is coming off"

you glue sniffing nerpy

Oh and Mr_Smooth I know I'm just pond scum and you're tex walker and a bit of writing but I somehow feel like I know a bit of who you are because I'm sort of going through similar things myself (although I have to be honest, it's not as bad as what you are going through) but I just have to say hang in there mate.

We all care about you and we're all here for you. I know things get tough and it's not easy sometimes but if you need anything, please just hit us up - a PM, on this thread; on any random thread really.

No apostrophe if it shows ownership If using 'it is' wouldn't make sense, e.g. 'The dog was chasing it is tail.', then no apostrophe.

'Its' in this context is just like 'his' or 'hers', none of them have an apostrophe. So if you can replace it with 'his' or 'hers' you know you don't put in the apostrophe.

It's a shade under 24 hours since yesterdays epic events. What will today bring?
Well on topic, people with umbrellas (Oroton or not) shit me. campaigners stroll around without a care in the world for the eyes of other people on the footpath, just so their pointy little heads won't get wet. **** me people are petrified of a little bit of water, it's amazing.

Well, I found out things are pretty shit at home when I got back after work.

I have mentioned before how we had a newborn daughter who passed away, but now we're experiencing some complications with my wifes health as a result of the birth.

I really don't feel like doing anything today and that includes going to the game tonight. I already have tickets so I will, but even we win, I won't be enjoying it very much.
