Churchies knocking on my door. **** off Mabel!
We kept getting missionaries at our door despite having a “no salespeople” sign that our local council had distributed. They insisted they weren’t selling anything and didn’t understand that they were effectively selling religion, so my dad amended the sign to say “no salespeople or missionaries”.

Having a virus during my time off :(

Headache, body aches, runny nose, cough and fever. Extreme sinus pain as well which means I probably need an op at $5k+ ffs.

Don't think I'm leaving the couch today (except maybe to answer the door for UberEATS).

Sorry to hear that - sucks when that happens. Get a doctors certificate so that you can keep your leave and claim it as sick leave instead

Best haircut of my life was in Germany. Barber was an old dude who spoke no English, I spoke minimal German. Got my mate to tell him what to do then just sat there for 10-15 minutes in peace.

Worst was at one of the local places by an Italian guy who was probably in his late 30s or 40s. Wouldn't shut up and kept stopping so he could talk with his hands. Get on with it, Mario.

I like talking to my hairdresser.

I like talking to most people really.

I'm not a campaigner.

Me too. I don’t understand why so many people hate talking to their hairdresser. Where I go if someone is off sick the boss cuts your hair and you can hardly get more than a hello out of him, grumpy bugger.

I just hate being forced to make small talk and I have no interest in big talk with someone I'm paying to cut my hair.

That's not the only reason I stopped though. Price and inconvenience and waiting all played their part in making me consider clippers too.

This is through the private system - it would only be $500 if my private health covered it. I've now upgraded my cover but I need to wait 12 months for the pre-existing condition clause to expire.

I can go public for free but would be subject to a massive waiting list which may well be just as long as that 12 months. Trying to hold out as long as I can for it.

My niece needs a sinus operation but because it's considered cosmetic surgery, her private cover won't cover it. She suffers really bad with blocked sinuses and as a result has sleep apnea, but if she uses this as a reason for the OP then she loses her licence. How will you go about getting it covered?

My hairdresser is just a local one who has a salon in her garage. It only costs me $10 but **** me she can talk. My hair can be cut in 15 mins max without interruptions, but she gets distracted very easily, and when she talks, she stops cutting. I try and keep my answers short without being rude. Also doesn't help every time someone walks in they have the hi how are you chat etc.

What I'm supposed to get done isn't cosmetic - all internal (trimming some of the inside of my nose out to open it up, clearing sinuses, straightening the septum).

It's partially covered by Medicare too so it's definitely not cosmetic? Maybe hers is a different case but that sounds odd! My new health insurance covers everything where Medicare provides a rebate (other than things like pregnancy which as a guy I don't think will happen!).

Kittysitting my sisters cat while she is away and the little campaigner opened my screen door and got out and into a fight with another cat. Fun fact. Don't try and pick a cat up mid fight as I am currently scratched like a mo fugger
