Here's an idea- piss off fb- invite friends via text message.

I know it won't stop them talking but still at least they can't do it via fb. Unless they start a message on fb themselves..

Adults don't have the issues you posted above.

Want to organise something? Do it. Invite who you want to invite. It's your thing. If people don't want to go, they won't. And those that do, will.
Yea it's not always that easy, I think at any function in history the organiser is obliged to invite at least one person they don't want there, be it the partner of a friend or a family member they don't care for etc. It's part of life, learning to tolerate *******s to keep the status quo, good practice for the workplace where there are guaranteed to be knobs you need to get along with.

*** UPDATE ***

I just told this one friend that wants more people to relax on the numbers. He replies saying "Don't you want people to come?"
I feel like telling him that he is not in control of the list, its me that is in control. But I don't want to piss him off.

What is the event you're organising?

There is this Indian dance night happening on Saturday. It's lit, 2000+ people attend. I thought I'd bring some friends along.
Sounds like a good night

Can I suggest dont stress as with 2000+ 1 or 2 more wont make much difference. In 10 minutes people will disappear anyway

Enjoy the night :)

Gotta stop caring what people think.

If he wants to come, he will go whether his other friends are there or not.

Since seeing this, I have already made a plan to ditch my friends at the door and go with only a few people from there.
What's the outcome if you piss him off
I don't know.
So is that considered a "small and intimate" gathering by Indian standards? :p

Have a good night.
My family wanted to add complete randoms that I hadn't seen in ages to my 21st.
This event son Saturday is run by other people, I'm just trying to organize tickets.

Inviting Indians is tough, because literally everyone is somehow distantly related.
akkaps, just tell this bloke that you've got it under control next time he brings it up.
Will do.
50/50 split between the sexes, this sounds like a chance for akkaps to find himself a good Indian lass.
Yeah, that's not going to work when I have heaps of my friends around. Plus, my mother will also be there with her friends. :(
And either take this to the AFS or Girl of your Desires thread.. ;)
I'm the worst at this kind of stuff. I've learnt that if I no longer want to be friends with a girl, I should ask them out. :D :(

Ignorant, judgemental people.

When I was coming back from Adelaide 2 weeks ago and lining up to board the plane, this girl who had sleeve tattoos and one across her chest came walking towards our direction, and there was this older couple behind me, aged about in their 50s or 60s, and the man said to his female companion "Look at that thing coming towards us! Why would she do that to herself?"

To be honest I thought the girl was quite attractive, and of course I'll never know but she could have had a nice personality? Yet some people can't see past a few tattoos despite the fact that they're a bit more traditional and fashionable nowadays. You cannot judge a book by its cover!

True that. And compromise and not getting your own way is part of life
What shits me thou is being roped into something where I don't want to be and my presence makes **** all difference

Sore throats.
I mean seriously, how the feck can they still be a thing? All these scientists and medical professions should be working on solving the pain from sore throats.
Had one for the past week. NFH Jan. Now to be fair it might have been brought on by some yelling 10 days ago but to be suckered by the bugs while my guard was down isnt fair

I had to see a lawyer recently and the girl I saw had some really cool Tatts going on and a look that was similar to that of Ruby Rose, who I think is totally hot. I must admit that initially it surprised me considering the industry and she had made no attempt to cover them up but it did get me thinking "why not"
