I've just never understood the "why" with group assignments
Is it just laziness from lecturers or is there some sort of reasoning behind them
They have been the bane of my existence in this household for near on 10 years now

I've never understood it either. Maybe to teach people how to work in teams? Thankfully there was no such thing when I was at Uni.

+1 for Queensland just consisting of 'Brisbane' and 'North Queensland'. #NRLstylz

FWIW have been to Qld as a kid, all the way from Mt Isa down to Longreach and Emerald then Mackay up to Cape York. Have always thought in my mind of Townsville up as FNQ but have never really given any consideration to the rest of the state.

Far North Queensland Cowboys?

There is a bit of that I think. It's also to teach you that in your working life you'll be working with some people who do **** all and you might do more and in the end you'll all be treated the same.

I had a group assignment for uni last semester, the other two girls admitted they were useless at it (finance) so I did all the calculations etc and sent it to them with dot points to write up into a report. They came back a week before and reckoned they didn't understand what I'd written, so I had to do the whole write up as well. Joke was on them though cause it was basically study for the exam, I aced the exam in the end and no idea how they would have gone, they must have battled.

In my education degree, group work was great. Everyone worked together and kicked ass.

I.T. was a whole other matter. ****ing international students...campaigner* the lot of them

Left my glasses at home, only use them for computer work bit now I can't see s thing.

A couple of years ago I lost my glasses. I didn't have an extra pair so had to go without them for a week or so til my new ones came through. I am hopeless without my glasses, although funnily enough I can read quite well without them, so really struggled that week. I have made sure since then that I always have an extra pair.

I'd actually have to go home - the day would be totally useless and unproductive without them

I think it'd be easier if I wore them all the time, as I wouldn't forget them. A second pair sounds like a very good investment,

I've noticed my eyesight isn't as good as it used to be, I struggle reading small stuff like the labels on bottles and jars.

I can still read normal sized print in books and on computer screens OK though so I won't be bothering with glasses just yet, other than sunglasses.

I worked on a group assignment with a few Asian students for a Systems Analysis unit and while they worked hard which was good their English skills were pretty poor so I had to re-write most of the reports they'd written. Still better than working with other local students who are lazy campaigners and just let other people do all the work.

Can anyone PLEASE tell me how to stop getting email birthday notifications on Outlook. I've looked everywhere in the app and online for answers and settings but can't find anything. This is possibly my biggest problem right now

I would also be interested in this info.

I don't think I've had an email birthday notification in Outlook in my entire life! Whose birthdays and how would outlook know people's DOB? I get them on my phone for Facebook but that's about it.

I'm blind at distance but can see up close fine. Got glasses for driving, don't use them very often though as I can't be bothered taking them with me all the time. I can see brake lights just fine which is all I need.

I need my glasses for just about everything. Can't see you until your standing in my space so driving without them would be extremely interesting. It has made for amusing times when I've gone out with just my sunnies (prescription) on and it's been dark when I've driven home.

I'm shortsighted and colourblind :( . I can't do much about being colourblind.

I wear my glasses 24/7, though I probably shouldn't. I also have to wear my glasses when driving as it's on my license. I find it difficult to drive at night without my glasses as the lights start to blur up. This is where the colourblindness can become a bitch, as I struggle to tell the difference between the red and amber lights. I also can't use the parking lights at shopping centres that are placed above each spot, as I I can red/green colour blind.

First of all, i have no problem with people following big and successful soccer clubs that they have no real ties to, I myself am a glory hunter/bandwagoner for a big european club. But why is it that it's always the international glory hunters, generally of Indian, African, or Arabian descent, that are the biggest shit-talkers? You chose your club because they're guaranteed to be successful, it's a bit galling that you then slam supporters of other clubs for their teams being shit, especially if those supporters are 'genuine' supporters that actually live in that place and attend matches even if the team sucks.

People in car parks that hold everyone up because they have to have the car park nearest to the entrance. At my local Aldi the car park is so small you are only a stone's throw from the supermarket no matter where you park, however this doesn't stop cars propping at the entrance while someone loads their shopping into a car that's in one of the spots closest to the entrance despite there being several parks available just a few spaces away. Meanwhile cars are banking up in the side street

Some campaigner at my local supermarket in peak hour thought it would be a good idea to use one of the entrance/exit lanes to park his 4wd and trailer effectively giving one lane to get in and out of the car park.
To add to that idiots who could go around that by continuing down the row and coming round the other side wanted to use the single lane I was in with a guy behind me, sat there for three minutes before one of them realised they had to go the long way because nobody could move until they did

I'm a touch short sighted but don't wear glasses, I'm waiting for the inevitable long sightedness that comes with age to restore my vision to 20/20 for a while, then I'll think about specs.

Solid plan
