Things That Shit Me the Eighteenth

Twin girls can be the same. We know people whose twin girls have fought and bickered since they could walk and talk. They’re around 18 now and finally getting on with each other. Also they were identical but now each has adopted a look as different from the other as possible - hair colour, clothing, friendship groups, etc.
We have 2 year old boy/girl twins.

I have some sympathy here cause twins are tough work but what i saw was just ****ed, these kids were genuinely beating the shit out of each other with zero regard at all for anyone around. The parent needed to intervene there.

This is not how Darwinism works. One winner, to the death.

I have not encountered twin boys that are not like this tbh.

The mums and dads are invariably the same, just surviving. Not saying it's right or wrong, or that your kids weren't put in harms way unnecessarily. The gift of twin boys is the gift of endless chaos.

In fact there's a set of twin boys at my kids school who have been completely separated since day 1 of reception they're that bad. You get just one at a time on a playdate or birthday? Joyful little dudes. Together all bets are off.
I played footy with a pair of twins whose old man was a golden gloves boxer. Holy demon did they have some bust ups

I used to knock around with some twins at school, their house was nearby, both of their folks worked and they had a pool table which made it a better option than our expensive education. The two months that their mum was laid up at home after having a hysterectomy were some of the longest of my life.

When Max and Ben King were drafted to different clubs, [insert club] fans insisted that one of them would take the first opportunity to move to the other’s club because they obviously would want to play together.

That hasn’t happened and I would argue that they each now have the ability to develop their individual personalities and talents without the pressure of comparisons.

I went to school with two sets of twins, same year, which seems more unusual the longer I go on.

I would have thought twins are more common now with the increase in IVF but I have no stats so don't @ me.

I also went to school with a few sets of twins. Never really considered if it was unusual or not. Between primary school and high school I can think of at least 4 sets my age, 3 sets of identical boys and a fraternal boy/girl set. As an adult I have met 3 sets of identical twin females that were the same school year but I don't think I've met any more twin males since I was at school. One of my friends has twin boys primary school age and I'm buggered if I can tell them apart. Should be a rule that you have to give them different haircuts or something. Patty and Selma OK, Sherri and Terri not OK.
