I don't watch the races so not really sure of all it's programming - just know I saw something earlier when channel surfing

The elephant in the room about the crowd at the cricket being full of Indians is that if they weren't there no one else would be in their place. It's not like the Ashes where tickets sell out. And it's not like the old days of the tri-series ODIs where some support from travelling fans/expat communities was a bonus.

Were they doing races from Sydney? Almost missed it last year or the year before as I flicked to 7 and seen horse racing. Was wondering why it hadn't started then realised they were in Sydney. Found out it was on 9 and had already missed 1/3 of the the race.

This year I just flicked to Sky Racing and watched it on slight delay.

Probably not , I just got off facebook after calling someone a cooker. Wife has sent me to the naughty corner as she doesn’t need bad publicity from me, hahaha.

I couldn't help but this if this comment when I came across the most random & stupid post on a local Aussie FB Group that was asking what options they've got to make online orders from this groups website once digital IDs come in, and how those folks who refuse to sign up with be banned from like FB and the internet

There's only been a few replies but all are somewhat agreeing - probably because the rest of us are looking at these idiots shaking our heads & not wanting to get removed from the group

But some of the replies are like, "I'm leaving Facebook", "I'll close my Gmail", no longer use Google etc, with someone sharing the following which I'm guessing they believe to be a way to access digital content but not from the big players - it's like they don't understand they've already got a digital footprint/fingerprint out there and it's not going to go away just cause they switch search engines

Though one positive that could come from this is not having to deal with as many cookers as we do now

I mean there is some irony in talking about digital surveillance on Facebook

It's impossible to cut big tech out of your life in 2025

That doesn't mean there aren't less bad products out there to be using though
