The dad of one of my best mates at primary school owned a pinnie parlour, Electric Circus, in Frankston. We'd have hours of free credits from time to time. I remember I rented Kung Fu for a weekend in my bedroom, that was THE SHIT! I haven't thought of that in years. I clocked that mofo 2 times in a row.

I too wiled away many an hour of a mis-spent youth at pinball parlours......In fact, you could call me the 'Pinball Wizard'.

I usually played it with a mate of mine and from memory it was a dollar for two players, would have been 50 or 60 cents for a single player.

It was funnier playing with two players where you had to combine to beat the bad guys while giving each other shit for getting beaten up.

Even if you died early on you could still have a good laugh at your mate getting the shit beaten out of him on his own.

A friend of mine in primary school got a pinball for his birthday. Not hired. It was his present. I was so in awe. I always gravitate to them as well. There's been some truly amazing ones.

Was that one of those sit down at a table style video games like Pacman and Space Invaders? There was one of those at our local indoor cricket centre.

Only cost 20 cents but they were good value.

Brings back memories, I forgot about the whores that used to come out with whips and then you could steal the whips off them and whip them.

It was the same with baseball bats, you could be getting beaten with a baseball bat but if you stole it off them you could turn the tables.

pretty tough out there atm job wise. Youngest has graduated as a teacher and can’t get a job - she’s applied for about 60 and only had one interview and that was at a school about 3 hours from Perth - it was the same response as she has been getting from those who have bothered to reply “looking for experience”

Not hard to start becoming a bit disillusioned by the whole process.

Tell her to work on her selection criteria.

My wife reads them and the amount she gets that are half arsed is a joke.

Should be several pages long.

I don't know if this is any help but when it comes to the intracacies of answering a WA public sector selection criteria this book is very, very good. He's from Perth too.
