Depends what style/movement you want but you can't go wrong with a good Japanese brand like Citizen (excellent customer service in my experience), Seiko or even Casio.

Those brands will get you something stylish and good quality for <$200-300
Thanks breh. Been doing some research. What do you think of Fossil?

Also are watches from designer fashion brands (armani, gucci, d&g etc.) a no go?

Tbh I'd never heard of Fossil so can't help. It really depends on what you want, if you don't really care about watches and just want something that tells you the time then really any quartz watch over about 30 bucks is probably going to work fine.

If you just want a fashion accessory then really whatever you think looks best would do. I'd steer clear of them but that's just personal preference.

Edit: Should add that if you're getting a mechanical watch I'd stick with a traditional watch manufacturer. Even though non watch brands might use the same movements (ETA typically) all the other components may not be up to scratch.

I like Fossil handbags, if that helps :p

I have heard good things about Fossil watches, they're fairly inexpensive compared to some of the better known brands. I like my Citizen watch, it was a bit over $200 I think. I like quite a few fossil ones at the moment, but I don't need another watch.

I'd avoid brands like D&G, that's probably just me though.

When i'm in the car and I see a licence plate in front of me, I try to think of what the "abbreviated" letters stand for. e.g.

1PIG234 = Porky Intelligent Goat

Same. The coloured number plates in Victoria are the most challenging, as they are personilzed and filled with a mixture of numbers and letters.

Casio are a solid brand.

Depends what you want too. Dress watch, every day watch etc.

I have a Hugo Boss watch which I think is magnificent.

I've got two Fossil watches I bought in the US. Both stopped working some time in 2013 having been purchased in 2012. That's not great. They look alright though.

Get a calculator watch. Or one with a built in laser beam so you can rescue Natalya from the train by cutting a hole in the floor before it explodes.

I have a hand painted floral shirt bought in Bali bought by my grandfather that is still in its bag. It was bought at least three years ago.
When my Dad was in Spain he got me a Barca top. Have not opened it and probably never will. Won't be wearing that shit. No idea if I even know where it is anymore

when searching for something or completing an action in the dark, i close my eyes. it aids my other senses
Where I come from, we have this thing called electrical power & lighting. Failing that we have torches, or other light emitting sources.

How often do you search or complete actions in the absence of light? You may have Jedi powers ;)

When trying on suit/tie combinations at home I pretend I'm talking to someone (hand gestures/head nods etc) whilst looking in the mirror to make sure the outfit works in a "real world situation"
