So much for Caro attempting to link then by claiming:Demetriou was 42. Gillon was 41.

I can educate everyone in the difference between men’s and women’s football for free. One is highly skilled, fast and great to watch. The other is a low skilled, grinding shit fight bore fest. Job doneThe facts speak for themselves.
2015: President of Melbourne University Women's Football Club
2017: Amongst the leadership team for North Melbourne's application for a women's team, with a role "educating staff and the male playing group on the differences between men's and women's football"
2021: The General Manager of the AFL, at the age of 31.
I have a conscious bias against incompetence and non merit-based appointments.

I do have a daughter. She agrees because she’s not beholden to the agenda that we must all pretend it’s an elite competition. With all due respect, I don’t think you are qualified to educate.
I also hope you have daughters, and that they want to play footy.![]()
While I don’t agree with the premise of the article, the AFL’s top “football” job has generally been considered to be the GM of Football Operations, which AD took on when we was 39. CEO is not considered a “football” job per se.So much for Caro attempting to link then by claiming:
"It is worth pointing out that that Kane’s so-called youth is something of a misnomer. Andrew Demetriou, still in his 30s when he took over the AFL’s top football job"
Down right providing false information to justify her point
That depends on who's asking, and what their criteria is.The pertinent question id: Has AFL become better or worse in the last two years?
Is it any different to their predecessors?Caro just earned herself 10 tickets to the Grand Final she can sell for $$$ tax free. Well played Caro. Well played.
Kane is useless and so is her boss. They literally have no idea what they are doing. And we suckers hand over our money ensuring nothing changes.

I’m pretty sure thousands of young people don’t give a **** what I have to say. They can watch and make up their own minds.Elite: a select group that is superior in terms of ability or qualities to the rest of a group or society.
It is by definition elite - regardless of whether your ego can handle it.
There’s ways of communicating that it’s of inferior quality to men’s footy without calling it a shit fest. Derogatory attitudes like that are really toxic to the 1000’s of young people who are inspired by it.

Also their inability take a decision re Brisbane Geelong game because they were focused on their bottom dollar.as opposed to player and fan safety. And the impact to the public.I wonder if Opening Round is her baby, or Dillon’s?
That debacle - as well as how remarkably compromised the draft is - are the two single biggest issues in the game, yet both don’t look anywhere close to being fixed.
Dillon is awfulShe’s not great, but Andrew Dillon is worse. He can barely string two sentences together without looking like a nervous mess.
It’s a terrible one-two combo for the biggest code in the country. Meanwhile, the NRL is likely to sign a massive new TV deal that could even surpass the AFL’s. Maybe then the clubs will wake up and start demanding more from head office.
Opening Round is a shamblesI wonder if Opening Round is her baby, or Dillon’s?
