ONE of the hostages caught up in Sydney’s deadly siege exactly one month ago today is offering to sell her story for a “six-figure sum” The Australian reports.

Marchia Mikael is a Westpac executive who was one of the few still trapped inside the cafe when it was stormed by police after 17 hours of a harrowing siege. She has recorded a paid-for television interview due to air next month.

It comes after the newspaper requested an interview with Ms Mikael, to be told by her lawyer Jason Arraj that “it’s got to be a win-win transaction”.

“When I say I don’t want to be insulted, I’m saying I don’t want a figure of $10,000 — that’s not going to cut it at all,” Mr Arraj said.

A member of the police force had a bullet graze their face when attempting to save her life among others. Tori Johnson died trying to save her life among others. There is a decent chance this person was a bystander to the execution of Tori Johnson when there is a chance that one other person demonstrating the courage he had would have saved two more lives that day.

Now this 'Westpac Executive' is showing the greed that others including have had dignity to avoid so far.

Someone could do an interview for the ABC if there was an issue of not wanting other media organisations to profit heavily from it. After the first tell all the market value of an interview about this would crash dramatically.
