Guys - Remember the Eagles in 2001? We copped floggings of more than 100 pts that year, finished 14th and you made it to a preliminary final. You just need a coach that will inspire your boys to PLAY.

Now look - off field issues aside (very embarrassed here, btw, hence me not posting too much) we are the reigning premiers and likely to win it again. You will be back. It may take a major cleanout in the off season but count on it.

Seriously thats the dumbest analogy ever. They need more than a coach they need to recruit players with talent. Can you honestly see anyone on their list right now with the potential to be a Judd, Kerr or Cousins. Stop trying to make them feel better about the situation they're in. Theres nothing that could make a Richmond supporter feel good about tonights game. Its just nasty to pretend they have somnething to be optimistic about.

Yes your right your club won a premiership in 1981. And how good that must make you feel watching your team get beaten by over 150 points. And how much closer you must be to winning another flag than we are. Cling on to the past mate I would too if my club had no future.

It really all comes back to the coach, we have been in winning positions, and he hasnt been able to get us across the line.

I will just put tonights performance in comparison.
Richmond VS Westcoast(premiers) we played bloody good football
Richmond VS Geelong - Shocking football.

If we have the ability to play on par with WC, then we have the ability to play on par with any FC in AFL currently.

Our coach lacks the desire to bring the players out to 100% and push us across the line.

I wasn't apologising for anything. I was pointing out that in 2001 we finished 14th, and everyone picked us to finish last in 2002. Now we are the premiers. Essendon went 21-1 in 2000 and now look at them. What I am saying is that you DO have potential there with guys like Deledio and Coughlin forming a core unit in your midfield. In my opinion you need to get rid of Richo, and not to send him to the EAgles either. He will pull down any team he is in. What I am saying is that it takes a little time to turn a team around, but it will happen.

What you really need is Kevin Sheedy at the Helm.

Yeah Richmond and Port both had bad days today. Only difference was that Port won by 5 points and Richmonds bad day was one of the most gutless and embarassing performances in the history of our game. RFC should be fiens for bringing the game into disrepute. What a joke.

I think Footscray / Bulldogs should be banned from the competion and put back to VFL for winning only one (yes, one!) premiership in their history. An absolute disgrace! Win the VFL premiership and then come back and see us.

I didn't see the game but that is an amazing scoreline.....

I have to say that if I was ever to feel for any group of supporters at the moment it has to you guys.

Hey if it makes you feel any better, we were tipped as the premiership side this year and we are hopeless.

These things happen, unfortunate as they are you just have to move on. I remember back in 2004, Craig's second or third game as coach, we were beaten in brisbane by a similar margin, the week after we came out and in an absolutely torrid affair, scraped through for a narrow win. We've had a few good years since then though , if only we could come up against sydney in a prelim...

The talent at richmond doesn't seem to be that bad, perhaps lacking in key position players but no doubt some young ones will come up eventually.
