He gets paid to write this shit?

Link HERE

My highlights:

"Not much has gone right for this club since it overreacted and sacked coach Dean Bailey after round 17 last year."

"Are the players angry the club couldn't persuade Tom Scully to stay?"

"Are they miffed that Mitch Clark, who is no better than a good, ordinary player, walks in on superstar money?"

"Are they embarrassed that their major sponsor was a dill and had to be replaced?"

"Do the players get exposed enough to former Adelaide coach Neil Craig? We never see or hear from him, unlike Rodney Eade at Collingwood and Mark Thompson at Essendon."

That's only the first half of the so-called article.

Robert Walls can G&GF.

Imagine the vacuity of someone who says, "yes, I am teaching my grand-daughter all the values I learnt at Carlton."

G&GF

Woefully written, pathetically researched, poorly timed.

the standard stuff u would expect from Robert Walls.

yep a complete load of drivel

Walls just goes with the flavour of the day, if that flavour changes, then next week he changes his opinion 180 degrees

Walls just expects that his opinion will be respected, it show.

Do the players wish we had Naitanui running around for the Dees?

What kind of question is that?

Why don't you interview one and ask them that?!

So we didn't offer $cully enough to stay (a little **** who completely diss'd the club and playing group) but over paid for Clark (a genuine AFL performer and leader coming into his prime who offers us our best KP target since Neitz)?

Yeah, I'm sure if the club bent over and paid $cully $800k plus per year for being no better than 10 other kids it would have gone down really well.

Walls you idiot, it was about money pure and simple. Fat Phil was signed up a year before Tom even moved there was nothing the club could do to change this AFL sponsored debacle.

The utterly inane douchebaggery which permeates every single cell in Robert Walls is evident throughout this gutter-swill. Bailey's sacking an overreaction? Piss off, we were rubbish last year especially in comparison to 2010, which was Bailey's best year, and the team's best for a long while. He deserved what he got, especially after 186. Green, whilst he may be 'loyal' was a terrible leader and I'm sure the players feel that Scully can G&GF.
Clark a 'good, ordinary player'? If he'd gone to the Blues Walls would be fellating his dick until it was limp and gangrenous from over-exposure to his saliva. He'd probably be shitting all over the Coleman too. Had he gone to Freo he'd probably be tearing teams new arseholes as well. Once the midfield gets up to speed Mitch will kick the shit out of plenty of teams.
Defence not versatile? Frawley has played on Riedwoldt, Franklin, Milne etc. and done an exceptional job. Garland and Rivers are both solid defenders and can play on talls and smalls (although not too tall for Riv). We're talking about playing Garland, a 191cm 90kg defender, on Rioli, a 177cm 80kg small forward.
I also love his use of out of context stats to support his 'argument'. And who gives a shit if Neil Craig isn't in the media all the time? He's there to coach, not spout gratuitous cliches about how the team is going to ***** like you Wallsy.
**** I hate Robert Walls so much, I can barely contain my anger at this woeful attempt at an article. My only consolation is that 10 doesn't cover the footy on TV anymore, so I don't need to listen to his I-wanna-****-Chris-Judd-up-the-arse-and-am-minutely-relevant-because-once-upon-a time-I-was-an-alright-player-in-an-exceptional-team-and-we-won-a-flag, bullshit commentary.
Apologies if I've offended anyone, but I really ****ing hate Robert Walls.

Who am I kidding, if you like Robert Walls and think that anything he says is relevant, correct, or perhaps worthy of even the tiniest modicum of consideration that it isn't horseshit, G&GF.

If [Mitch Clark]'d gone to the Blues Walls would be fellating his dick until it was limp and gangrenous from over-exposure to his saliva.

Sigworthy.

It just gets more and more cringingly excruciating with each line.

Typical of the know-nothing idiots who run around proclaiming themselves to be "experts" on our club. **** them and their arrogant Dunning-Kruger-esque delusional ravings.

Clearly I should be the one writing for the Age, not Walls

Walls has been the laughing stock of the media for years...

He and Malcolm Blight are the 2 regarded as having the least amount of credibility of all AFL media personal.

Donald for president, that is brilliant. As for the article the Bill Hicks movie review comes to mind "it's a piece of shit, nothing more nothing less". Not worthy of analysis. I enjoyed Caroline Wilsons article about 186 last week because it gave me an insight that couldn't be written by a rambling halfwit in the outer (that's my job). This was the opposite. Also if you're using dot points in a broadsheet it's time to hang up the slippers.

Not sure where walls gets the delusion that Bailey would have been here this year without 186. The man made it very clear he couldn't coach the players to challenge tougher sides halfway through the year.

Love it, I suggest barely might be an exageration? Agree with it all Dory, unbelievable article of a journalist well past his prime, how can an editor let that one through to the print.

Why don't you interview one and ask them that?!

Indeed mate.

And of course, the likely response to his Naitanui bollocks and the other manufactured bullshit 'questions' he spouted so ludicrously there, would be GAGF. In extremis.

How this man is still allowed to comment in any form of the media is beyond me....
Love the picture, tells it all I think.
Personally I think my anger at Wallsy would be slightly mitigated had he written this article a month ago when our troubles were relevant. Now that we have decent sponsors, have started to move on from Jim's death and are becoming much more competitive on field, this sort of shit is simply unnecessary and well behind the times, especially when he's still debating the circumstances of Dean Bailey's sacking.
