This week against the Saints, I dont need to say is a huge test, and if we play like we did against Melbourne, we will get absolutely SMASHED.

I have seen a guy I want in the team, his name is Kelvin Moore.

He should be groomed for the FULL BACK position, starting this week against the Saints. I know it is early, and he may not be 100% ready yet, but dont tell me Gaspar is 100% right to play?

This weeks team should be:

IN: Moore, Shultz, Roach

OUT: Bowden, Fiora (inj), Rodan.

The reason to drop Bowden, even though I dont believe he was our worst player on Friday night, it sends a message to our senior blokes, play hard and accountable or not at all. Fiora is an injury casualty, and Rodan im just sick of these unaccountable blokes in our side, he does one or two flashy things and he gets hyped, its time to get a solid full game out of him at Coburg.

Shultz should not have been dropped against Melbourne, returns after a good game for Coburg (rewarding), Roach is in the same boat, hes in top form the kid, and plays hard and has energy levels we need and the skill levels 85% of our senior blokes lack. Now to Kelvin, he is so calm under pressure and is a top reader of the ball, is a bit light on but I say play him and reward the kid for being the best on ground for Coburg. With him and Shultz comming in to the team, it just gives us more options to play on the Riewolts, Hammils and Gehrigs.

TEAM AGAINST SAINTS.

B. Chaffey Gaspar Kellaway
HB. Zantuck Moore Hyde
C. Tivendale Coughlan Newman
HF. Brown Morrison Campbell
F. Shultz Richardson Hartigan
R. Ottens Johnson Krakouer

INT. Stafford, Roach, Fleming, Hall.

Hartigan is a class player, make him play an accountable role in our Forward Line on Aussie Jones, put pressure on him and make Aussie be more accountable rather than set up plays from the back half.

Richo, Shultz, Morrison gives us three talls to kick to, Shultz takes over Zantucks role in the Forward Line with Zanners moving back.

Tivendale, Coughlan, Newman, Brown, Campbell, Johnson and Krakouer - geez thats a midfield, and I would have faith and say to run hard and play accountable but be attacking. Run a muck.

Gaspar, Hall, Zantuck, Kellaway and Moore give us some real options to play on their tall timber. I would have Zantuck on Hamill, Gaspar on Gehrig and Moore (yes Moore) on Riewolt when Riewolt roams the ground, Moore has the athleticity to run with him and is great defensively. Hyde to play on Milne - been ultra impressed with Hyde, think hes going to be a player in the mold of Newman. Chaffey to be the quarter back role he likes being.

No more selecting the team on names, its time to get fair dinkum and play the players that will play Hard Tough Footy!!

Yer I understand that, but dont we have enough room to elevate a rookie?

I was on the understanding we did??

I hope we have.

Somewhere i heard Miller say Moore will be a player and is every chance to be elevated....no time like the present.

Great post tigerbob. Thats probably the best i have seen you do. I agree it would be good to see him in the side. But i dunno. U might have to email greg miller. I dont think he will. I mean should he work hard for his spot on the senior list. And it would be unfair for dragga and foley as it is only round 2 and they havent proved themselvse yet. And if he gets promoted now he might get ahead of himself and take it easier.

Anyway he wont be in teh side this week and i think zantuck should be dropped but i guess that i wouldnt drop him.

You guys gotta remember that blumfield and hilton are back from injury me thinks so they are a chance aswell. What about weller aswell he is big bodied and is good disposal and is a chance for selection.

So did anyone watch coburg play on the weekend or what? If so give us a responce to ur game and on all teh richmond players

We can elevate one rookie as we have one spot available on our senior list (ignoring long term injuries - touchwood). It would be a question of whether we can afford it within our TPP as a promoted rookie then counts towards it.

We may be restricted due to the salary cap. We do have a spare place on the list but if more gets promoted, it may be enough to push us over.

What we need is for someone to go onto the long term injury list so there payments are excluded from the Cap. We need someone to take a bullet for the side.

Duncan?

Dear Cairo,

I was not suggesting that we play Duncan. I was suggesting that if Moore was to come off the rookie list, we would need someone to volunteer to go onto the long term injury list and that someone to be Duncan.

Yeah I saw the game, but didnt actually go to te game....

I really dont want to discuss how I get the tapes but I do, and have seen so much of Moore, and think he is our most natural defender behind Gaspar at our club....period.

He will get elevated, hopefully its sooner rather than later.
