Can we beat the Tigers without Carey?
Even though it will be tough I still think we can beat them as we always seem to come out of slumps against Richmond.
IE rd 3 99 rd 18 99 rd 3 2000.
Hopefully Denis will pick the right team (ie L Smith should be one of the ins).
Any thoughts from you guys as those on the official forum are useless and I wont be going back until they stop their bickering.

I think that if we put in both Smith's this week, it would be start.
Young Dylan was always going to a pretty good playr and just needed a week of full game midfield action to bring him back to speed. If Denis does play him, hopefully he will run him in the middle and see what he can do.
Petrie may be an option as a back up ruckman.

I'm sorry to hear that you wont be back at te official forum KickItAnywhere34 as i used to enjoy your posts. I tell ya what though, i don't really blame all you who have migrated. There aren't too many good senses of humour on the forum and alot of touchy people who go mental at the slightest criticism of the club or players.
Anyway, I think we are a big chance this on Friday nite. I think Carey being out may be a little bit of a blessing in that it might just be what McKernan needs to pull his finger out and recapture a bit of form. Hopefully our midfield wake up to the fact that they can't keep bombing it long without thought and actually start spotting up targets and "passing" the ball to our forwards.
I think King and Grant a due for a big one as they usually do alright against the Tigers. And this may be wishful thinking, but get ready for the most electrifying debut in blue and white since Adrian McAdam from Lyndsay Smith!! 8 goals from CHF!! (Ok, i may have to settle down a bit, but you all know what I mean!!)

Agreed. I doubt Jones would get dropped considering there's already two compulsory changes, and dropping Burton would make a third change. Over the years, North has been very reluctant to make three or more changes unless forced.
Burton is a small chance to be retained, I reckon, now that Wayne is out. L.Smith is a definite promotion, regardless. I will drink girly Carlton Cold at the get-together tomorrow night, if he is not picked! (Now you know I'm serious

).

Does anyone think it would be wise to give Dylan Smith a specific task this week? I reckon he should tag or play a close-checking role on somone like Matthew Knights.
