Re: Neagle injured
Hird had stress fractures in the foot but he was not over weight or unfit. The stress fractures are not solely limited by weight issues. You have NFI.
Hird also actually struggled in his first couple of seasons before he really got going with his preperation and form.
You are judging Neagle on one TV game and what you percive to be happening when you have got no idea of how his preperation has gone this season. Like i said before he is down 8kg in weight since last pre season and he has had the dedication so far this year. You simply have no idea of what has been going on becasue you have not seen anything other than one game ! Now he rolls his ankle and you are off making stupid statements without having even 20% of the facts.
Your comments on Rioli show just how ignorant you are. You simply have followed all the other garbage that has been said about him and made comment without knowing the full story behind it.
Yes Dean did have a couple of years where his preperation was not great and he didnt always do the right things but his last 5 years at the club he did all he could to get into condition but his knee was stuffed. He could never train hard enough becasue the his knee would blow up and it casued him lower hammy problems. It was from an old injury that was not treated properly before we drafted him.
In the last three years he was with us he had two or clear clean ups on his knee per season. It is virtually impossible for a naturally big guy to get fit if he can't train at anything greater than 70% pace.
No.
Hird had injuries but was meticulous in his preparation and was always fit.
Neagle can be currently compared to our own Dean Rioli. I loved Dean as a player and Sheeds always stuck up for him but if he got himself fit and in fantastic shape he could have been a great player for us over 200 games.
I don't want to see the same thing happen with Neagle.
