8. Sydney (kelly is back)
--------------------------
9. West Coast (still have a good squad)
10. Geelong (pathetic bunch of dicks!)
11. Hawthorn (same as geelong)
12. Port Adelaide (who gives a shit!)
13. Richmond (starting to die)
14. Fremantle (still not good enough)
15. Collingwood (1 man team)
16. St.kilda (worst squad in AFL history)

I wouldn't even dignify such immature, moronic, satements with response!

All I can say is, that would have to come from an Adelaide supporter. No-one else would be so dumb.

Crows4Eva,
I wont have a go at you about your statements, its what you think, I dont care.
Sometimes I read these boards and I figure people are wimps. Have a bit of fun in your life, be a prick (Like me hey GCG). I think the crows have the worst supporters in the League and the team isnt much better.

I will have a go at you about your ladder now:
Swap Adelaide with Hawthorn
Geelong with the Western Bulldogs
Fremantle with West Coast
,and then I think you are close.

Please don't judge us based on Crows4Eva. Please...if Crows4eva is who I think it is, she's just an immature, foul mouthed 16 year old kid from Loxton. We did'nt rate her opinions too highly on the old AFC board.

Amazing how many of you don't pick Brisbane to fall, but alot of their supporters do.

Too much inner turmoil. Started at the end of last year when they traded Doc Clarke. Still a couple of very big names unsigned at the moment.

I can't see North dropping too far. I can see Freo making their move tho.

oy, just giving my opinion
Hawthorn and Geelong are too inconsistant too make the finals again, Fremantle still need a couple of years. remember hawthorn went win-loss for like 8 weeks.Geelong willd ie again at the end

Still sticking by Adelaide in the top 8 huh?????????

Just a thought.

Provided that:

-Rehn is half as good as Salmon when he came to Hawthorn
-Crawford gets back to his usual top form
-Thompson gets over his injuries he has been carrying and blitzes at FF
-The rest of the team play more or less as they did in 2000 (perhaps some improvement)
-Hawks get an 'average' draw (they are due)

Hawthorn WILL (not might) easily be a top four side.
That will be their 'target' anyway

And make no mistake, EVERY team except Essendon, St Kilda and perhaps Carlton were inconsistent in 2000. Melbourne and North, Perhaps Brisbane got as high as they did due to what turned out to be an easier draw.

Only Essendon and Carlton now have the 'wood' on the hawks

Another proviso.

Dermie has to stop revving up the next week's opposition for the Hawks by doing a 'Dermie Does' on them on 'The Game'

You said: "Western Bulldogs - starting to die; Richmond - starting to die"

What the hell does that mean?

I don't know if Richmond will make the eight or not - I am not a bloody prophet (maybe crows4eva is, in which case forgive me Lord) - but if Adelaide, which are as crap a team as any at the moment, makes it and Richmond doesn't, I'll drink West-End Export for a month.

What is it with Adelaide supporters? They have a very ordinary list and expect to be world-beaters. Must be some serious heavy metal pollutants in the Murray River at the moment!

Your predictions go from the bleeding obvious - Essendon, Melbourne and Carlton (oooh, going out on a limb with those ones aren't you!) - to the plain stupid (5th Adelaide - "What can I say?" ... nothing intelligent obviously)

I am aware that most of the idiots who were Crows supporters have since moved to Port Adelaide, but clearly they still have some imbeciles and morons left.

I was born in South Australia ... thank goodness I got over it!!

couldnt be more wrong, heres what i reckon what will happen, depending on trades

essendon (will only get better)
melbourne (will also get better)
hawthorn (crawford back to form)
brisbane (need a target up forward)
kangaroos (still there abouts)
geelong (should be about the same as 2000)
sydney (kelly back, if they get hamill they will improve)
fremantle (draft and trade well, their kids will get better)

carlton (lost to many)
bulldogs (kids need some time to come good)
richmond (all depends on richardson)
collingwood (little bit of improvement)
adelaide (not much there)
west coast (same as adelaide)
stkilda (need time)
port (terrible)

This is hysterical

The seasons over 1 week, tradings still going on, the draft isn't for weeks & we are making predictions for next year.

Ok heres my predictions for next year.

Dan24 will tell us that the minor premier should get more recognition

G4E will make will do his/her best to insult everyone anywhere.

Rooboy96 will insult anyone who DARES to suggest the sun doesn't shine out of Careys arse.

All Carlton/Essendon/North/Collingwood supporters on this site will slag off at each other, quoting statistics dating back to 44BC.

Predictions for Football

1 or 2 teams in the 8 will drop out. 1 or 2 teams will come from no where & make it. Adelaide & someone else.

AFter finishing 12th this year, the inclusions of Bell, Metropolis, Carr and Simpson will certainly help the DOckers as will the extra year for Pav, Hasleby and Brown along with return of Longmuir. OUr defense is stronger, our midfield is as good as any going around and our forward line is reasonably good, although could be better. WOuld have loved to see Hamill play for us.

I think that a spot in the 8 is achievble, albiet in 7th or 8th.

I totally agree Jod.
But also I can see Freo comming good....a little bit scared about that actually!!! I wont mind just as long as The Eagles do better!

You are right in some ways but we whilst we have had some good players we have never really had players you could build a side around. only now are we starting to get that.

Bell is only 24, Pavlich is turning 18 along with Hasleby and Brown in defence who we can build the side around along with Waterhouse. These players will give the others confidence like Hird, Carey etc. Now we are not at that stage yet but we are moving in the right direction and i believe that we can get in the bottom half of th eight.

This is of course a big pile of BS given the longest off-season (and presumably Premiership hangover) of all time but here is my ladder for the end of the H&A season (not finals) 2001:

1. Essendon: 17+ wins: (less dominant due to premiership hangover but still good enough provided Melbourne or Brisbane don't turn it on.)
2. Brisbane: 16-17 wins: (More stability, less injuries (particularly big blokes) and the Lions will start to deliver.)
3-9. Melboure, Hawthorn, Fremantle, Richmond, Geelong, North (still there or abouts but no PF this year), Sydney 11-16 wins. (order depends on injuries, the draw and a bit of luck)
10-15. Carlton (will be reeling next year following the effective loss of Bradley, SOS, Hamill, Murphy, Brown and probably Allen and Porter), Dogs (Wynd a huge loss), StK, Collingwood, Adelaide, WCE. 8-11 wins: (all still re-building but all with some chance of a higher finish)
16. Port 0-7 wins (basket case)

That's pretty general I know but that's the best we can do at this stage.

Dutch

PS. Love the Hamill debacle. Love it. Reminds me of Brad Pearce.
PPS. Come on 17!!

Yeah well crowz4eva, what would u know????
Anyways i agree with Pessimistic, if we have all our stars and young group of players all playing well together at the same time then there is no reason why we can't finish top 4 And seriously, you reckon that Adelaide will finish in the top 8, you are dreaming...
Go the Hawks in 2001!!!
Nick Holland is a STAR!!!

I really think with Freo it's an off-field professionalism problem. But if they can get Parkin in a consultantcy role, and Ric Charlesworth (they've made him an offer, but he'll probably stay OS coaching hockey for $$$), that might change.
The new (and very groovy looking) training facilities will help in that regard too.

The fixture which is released today will have a big influence on the ladder - The bookies have Hawthorn, Richmond, Crows, Geelong at medium odds ($26) and you'd think at least one or two of them would be shorter - perhaps the bookies have seen the fixture list.

EG in 2000 if you played essendon once and saints twice you were 2 wins in front of a team that played them the other way round. That was North and Melbourne at 4 and 3 two wins in front of Bulldogs and Hawks at 7 and 8

Saints will do better this year, but there will be a straggler

For essendon, The closest comparison is carlton in 1995-96. The wheels started falling off in round 12 for them.
