lol Triple M are suggesting 4.

Honestly, I must be the only one to think that it wasn't that bad at all. (irrespective of my username).

If that is 4, Lower would be seeing 10.

You musn't have been listening all that well - they said if the MRP are as lenient as possible on him, he'll get a 2 game suspension. This means he won't play football for 4 weeks (assuming we win our first final).

If he does get 2 weeks (3 if we win against WC) what do you guys think about sending him to Arizona for 10 days or so?

Actually think there hasn't been as much of a frenzy as there usually is as he will get off. (Didn't hit the head)

I sure hope ur right but not likely unfortuntely.

I too think first contact was to Ibotsons chest but alot of people in the media seem too have either not bothered watching the footage or just want one of our players rubbed out.

I reckon the MRP will give Daisy 2 weeks, 1 if he's lucky. Although, it really depends on what number comes up when the MRP spins the wheel though.

They have a special wheel for the Pies.
They had it shipped in from Bastards'R'Us after Maxwell got off and embarrassed the dung punchers in the Tribunal and MRP.

Also when we got big Dawesy off his ridiculous report earlier this year.Made them look stupid that night.Especially the man himself Dawes:D:)

We should know soon after 4pm today I think.

I'm personally hoping (as an eternal optimist) that the MRP will not even look at it. The reason I am holding out the tiniest bit of hope is because if there was any head high contact it was inconsequential and had no impact at all. The bump was a genuine shepherd albeit that Daisy did leave the ground but the issue of leaving the ground is irrelevant if the MRP rules that there was no contact to the head of any consequence and that there was no resultant injury. If the MRP do cite Daisy then I'd suggest he may get away with a week if they still take the view that head high contact was inconsequential.

Very hard to predict these days which is why they really need to scrap this system. Some argue that its entirely predictable but I'd argue that with the way it's worded you can justify anything from throwing it out to 4 weeks. Hardly a transparent system.

i havent seen this for years, but traditionally when the tribunal get a set of 'severe' cases they do tend to hand out harsher penalties than normal.
this scenario however i dont seem to recall in these MRP days, with set penalties and based on numbers, rather than the pure opinions of those in the old tribunal chair.

the system is excellent, it's just reported by douchebags who go "blah blah should have got X weeks when blah blah got X weeks". When normally they do get the same amount of weeks but previous loadings and early pleas skew the final penalty, and the bags of douche only report the final outcome.

Some tightening up around the definitions of negligent/reckless/intentional is all that's needed.

I reckon he'll get off, minimal impact to the head and not forcefull enough to warrant suspension IMO, player got str8 up, field umpire didn't lay a report and had a clear view of it, just a down field free, nothing more IMO, if we're going to start rubbing guys out for that the game is in big trouble.

no way in hell will he get off id bet my life on it, it's at least one week

The game is in a sad way if 'anyone' gets rubbed out for that, i understand you reap what you sow now days when laying bumps like that but what did he sow? player wasn't injured, very minimal contact high, umpire didn't lay a report, i reckon he'll be fine.

MRP should take into consideration that a player has points hanging over their head, a bit like the umps do in Soccer when giving out second yellows, you have to commit a red card offense to cop a second yellow (mostly).

Injunction.
On the grounds he has already been cricified by the media.

No shit i was about to suggest that, if he gets something ridiculous like 2 weeks i reckon it's injunction time, we lost Cloke in 02 for the granny, we lost pebbles in 03 but low and behold BBBBH gets let off when Syd made the Granny, go figure.

IMO - based on all the points and loadings he will get 3 down to 2...that is based on my opinion the hit will be seen as reckless. I hope and pray it is seen as negligent though.

Not playing for 4 weeks (assuming we beat the Needles) is not ideal preparation for a Prelim.

Apparently Eddie was on MMM this morning saying Collingwood has all angles, he didn't make head contact, etc. etc. and so they are fighting to get him off. I didn't hear this; did anyone else? If so, did he say anything other than would be expected?

If Daisy got off, the opposition supporters would jump the proverbial fence I reckon.

I would love that. I remember a few years back Didak cleaned up Scotland and the media were like he will get 4-6 weeks and so was everyone else. One the tribunal report came out on the Monday it said he was not guilty. I am hoping for a verdict like that today.
