Nah not in a sense of Buckley approaching a group in that way. There may have been some things said that the players didn't like but that happens all the time.

The bit about Carey wouldn't surprise me though. We have to remember that players are just as prone to venting outside of the home as we are. It doesn't matter who the players were but to totally discount the possibility that there may be loose lips around the place is showing blind faith.

and.... the reason for why the two players are out = injuries. I don't subscribe to the discipline story.

Secondly, just think about it before you report it here. Would Heater join the senior leadership group and re-sign only weeks ago if he wanted to go and hated Buckley's guts?

It makes no logical sense. You also posted a daft thread on Dermies 'irrefutable' proof that Daisy hated Bucks. There's a theme developing, and that would be fine if there was a scintilla of truth in it, but there isn't, so don't trip over yourself to slag off the club.

Then you have known facts such as Shaw extending his contract on recently.

Personally i'd like a little more in the way of evidence and even then its still not that big of a deal. It may come as a shock to you but not everyone gets along with each at a footy club.

There's one more thing, too, TD, that you should consider. We've just endured a pretty tough week - and the negativity and venom that swept through this forum was quite overwhelming, really. At about the time when Buckley did his mid-week press conference, it reached a tipping point. Discussions started to turn, people were beginning to talk about good things - Lachie Keeffe for example - the upcoming game against Port - Buckley's class and composure. That tidal wave of negativity was pushed back and I think a lot of people here really appreciated that. So when they log on and see at the very top of the board this thread followed up by your post which gives absolutely no credence whatsoever to what is a ridiculous rumour (whether you think it has merit or not, it is a stupid hypothesis), I think people are entitled to a bit of a backlash because a lot of us would really like to move on.

Secondly, why isn't this in your Random Thoughts Thread? I thought this type of topic was the very reason it was created.

And guys let's not jump on Carey just yet, there's no proof that he "stated/lied" about getting it from Thomas and Shaw. The only guy saying that is TimetoFly.

And TBH, it's a quite obvious rumour, Thomas and Shaw are very easy targets right now. I wouldn't be making assumptions just yet.

Most of the coaches that are most reverered by the guys that played under them are always going to give a player a reason to rant at stages of his career.

Nothing wrong with a good rant as a release valve but these days players have to more careful to who they rant to. Perhaps Carey will find it harder from here on to get an 'off the record' chat with current day players.

Its usually in time that a player looks back and realises that they were good for him and they get talked up only positively.

I think Buckley will establish some healthy coach player distance. More in the Matthews mould.

I thought I'd heard it all lately but this rumour takes the cake.

It is so stupid it makes my head hurt.

The only truth in the whole thing is that players in the pre-season did make quite a few official and unofficial statements about how hard they were being trained. All that's happened since then is that rumour mongers have extrapolated that out to imply that the players are now dirty on Bucks as a result. That is the just crap and these rumours are totally baseless.

The 2 players named also recently signed long term contracts, Shaw only a couple of weeks back.

Lastly, if Bucks were to make such a statement (and i don't believe for a second that he would drop a player for complaining about him) he would do it publicly. There is nothing to be gained by feigning injury.
