A fair few of you are insane. LT is our 2nd best player, period. Leading goal kicker last year, will win it again this year. Kicked bags of 5.5 and 7.5 last year plus a 4.2 this year.

Ballantyne looked good because Firrito played his worst game in 2 years and couldn't keep up, McMahon didn't try to stop him by playing 10m off him at all times.

I'll bet LT has more scoring shots than anyone this week whilst being tagged by White ( who is 4-0 tagging in 2011 ).

LT has more scoring shots per game than McKinley and Milky have possessions. When is the last time Azza kicked 5-7 or even had 6 scoring shots? How well is S.Wright going? He hasn't had 6 scoring shots in 3 games combined.

How different has the reaction been to Ballantyne pushing over Thomas when he was doing his laces up to when Thompson pushed over Hall?

The Hall incident went on for two weeks. Luke Darcy even went as far as to say he loved what Ballantyne did, he was a different last year with his comments on Thompson.

I was shocked at this too. Firstly, it was our free kick in the centre so it should have been 50 for interfering with a player. Secondly, as LT was pushed over the north player (LA?) kicked the ball forward and it was brought back allowing the Freo players extra time to setup.

I am a Thomas fan, but the Freo game epitomises every thing bad about him. When he concentrates on getting the footy only (not getting held, pushed, riden into the ground, etc) he is a gun.

His best feature is that he is a great one-on-one contested mark as well as a very good goal sneak. Not often a player has both, so it is a huge asset. But he has gone too much towards one-on-one. He needs to work out when it is best to stay down and get at the front of a Petrie/Hansen/Edwards marking contest.

And he should be told to focus on getting no free kicks. Ever. If he does that, they will come.
