"Godfrey did a good job on me and I learned a lot from that game. It (a close tag) is something I hadn't really experienced before so to experience it a little bit again and get through that and come out on top is fantastic."

"I learnt a lot because Godfrey wasn't interested in getting a kick, which is a situation I hadn't encountered before," he said.

"All he was worried about was stopping me. I found it hard to position myself against him and my workrate probably died off a little bit, so that's what I focused on.

Thompson, leading The Advertiser Merv Agars Medal voting and clearly enjoying his best season at age 24, said he sought advice from Goodwin and other ace Crows' on-ballers Mark Ricciuto and Tyson Edwards on how best to handle a tag after being "touched up" by the physical Godfrey.
Jeez, you would think Godders is some Chris Judd reading that article. :D

He picked up 2 votes, kicked one from 50, a classic game.

I'll be out of the country for his 100th, i can't believe it...would anyone be able to take a photo of the banner and post it on here for me? It would be greatly appreciated.

Godfrey plays 100, its such a miracle i cant believe there hasn't been a religion formed about it. Hail Godfrey man who kicks better on non prefered and is a great tagger but seems not to tag everyweek for some strange reason.
