Roughead is a monster. No one in there right mind expects kids his size to be consistant or dominate games at age 20. 95% of Kpp's take time.I think tambling has be unfairly targeted "For not being a superstar at age 20 " he is a very good player who was under developed when he started and now looks pretty big and fit. i think he has the ability to be a consistant player that can spark the team during games with run and carry.
This thread would be about any player that came after Franklin in the draft. I do find it funny that everyone is all over tambling yet Roughy gets away with poor performances and more time in the reserves than Tambling. the top 5 kids picked in any draft almost have too much pressure to be superstars from day one. before any hawthorn supports get their undies in a twist Roughy will become a dominent player in time.
I dont hope he will be a good player because he already is.

Buddy was the exception to the rule in 2007.
Midfielders are expected to come along alot quicker. The only thing that they lack at age 18-20 is size. Their skill level, ability and speed should see them able to step into AFL level alot quicker than a guy who will be, more than likely, matched up against someone who is more adept at 1 on 1 football and with more size.

Sure give the kids time, but Tambling was seen as ready made. His only setback was supposedly his light frame, however watching him play each week it seems there's more to it than that. That is the point - he shouldn't be expected to be a star by age 20.
Same thing should apply to Bling.
Yet due to Buddy's exception, Tambling is now prematurely seen as a "complete failure" when in fact he has plenty of time to come of age and is already putting in good games.
Since when was tambling ready made? Terry Wallace always said he would take a few years. He said something along the lines of >> I hope to be able to coach Richard when he is 23.Sure give the kids time, but Tambling was seen as ready made. His only setback was supposedly his light frame, however watching him play each week it seems there's more to it than that.
He doesn't have the workrate of others like Murphy, Lewis, Jones or Pendlebury. He flashes into the play, then disapears for the next three quarters.
I'm not rating him against Buddy, because that would be foolish, rate him against other midfeilders with the same experience. He comes off second best with most.
I sadest part is u will probably believe u will have 2 flags by 2012
JORDAN LEWIS went # 7 and is ten times better than Tambling. You bloody Richmond supporters are all monkeys.....accept the fact that he is rubbish, like the rest of your stinking club.
Pizza Box > Gibbs
Message to Tiger Fans .... as evidenced by the lack of response re the various comparisions to Gibbs, we all love him as do most commentators and as such your comments are as effective as firing rubber bullets at a Steath Bomber.
Yep he was terrible in his frist season of football NOT!!
However it would seem the Tambling debacle is cutting deep and I mean deep!!!!!!!!!!
Pick 2 was Roughead. Regrding Buddy you got lucky overlooked him the first time around and were fortunate he landed in your lap at pick 5.Do you blame them? They had pick 2 and picked up a monkey.......that must really really hurt, given Buddy and Lewis were available.
Watched the same game. He goes into a pack, dances out with the ball, then accelerates away. When he starts doing this several times a game, every game, he will be a star. Was interesting watching last season's game against the Roos last night.
Tambling was very poor defensively at times, but he also took two very good contested marks, kicked our only goal of the first quarter, extricated himself from dead end situations at two stoppages playing as a rover (one of them was just sublime where he collected the ball in a very tight pack, ducked under two tacklers right beside him and used his speed to avoid all others), and had several 90m plays where he grabbed the ball at half back and ran past a would be tackler like he was standing still - one of them he kicked the ball 55m to a Nathan Brown lead and hit him on the forehead.
People who don't think this kid has enormous talent just haven't been watching, or don't know the difference between the exceptional and the mundane. He's got a lot of areas which need work, but he's going to be a very good player once he starts putting it all together.
Franklin> Tambling
Now I get it Nut. Start another Tambling thread and watch the red cards come rollin in, Very clever. Some trollers are so vulnerable.
