Finally, Bomber gets it right. His great tatic of exposing Brisbane's lack of height by putting Otto deep and King roaming around the forward line while giving Blake some experience. Steve Johnson showed some of his great form, but as much as everyone loves to hate him, I think if we are going to win a premiership he has to running around that forward line.

Do you reckon Aker today was watching Geelong to see where he could fit into the club. I think they should think about trading for Aker.

Hunt only gets metioned by most on here when he should be dropped/traded unfortunately.

I think people have a high expectation of Joshy or don't wanna admit they were wrong when bagging him.

On the other hand, can't really see why Playfair is gettin credit. He still can't kick and regularly choses the "stick one hand up and tap the ball instead of trying to mark it" option in marking contests.

Clearly he's the out for Mooney next week.

Loved Dasher's game and Mackie's recent improvement is good to see. Just wish he'd hit the bench/squats/deadlifts a bit more!

Eh, it's worth a shot! The team seem to work harder when we're without him, and we've won all the games that he was suspended from.

After that game, hopefully this board will lay off Johnno and Byrnesy for a week. Johnno is a natural goalkicker, and Byrnes possibly shows more heart than any, with the exception of Rooke of course.

I was very impressed with Playfair's second efforts and one-percenters today too. Led well up the ground as well - clearly his best position. Did this early last season and straightened us up.

Yikes. Even I thought he was being a bit of a lazy sod today. He did a few good things in the first half, but nothing much in the second. Didn't use his pace much, and just wasn't running as hard as he should have. It was quite clear that he was frustrated with himself though.

I think he was quite relieved that we won.

Well, a win is a win is ............ Pretty scrappy game, and I thought Brisbane were terrible, still we got the four points and I guess that's all that really matters.

Positives, Mackies continuing good form, Prismall's fine game, and Playfair's effort, really worked hard up the ground, though he'll still probably get the chop next week.

Downside, reckon Bartel may come under scrutiny for his bump on the player with his head over the ball, plus Thommo not getting it right once more, why oh why isn't our best defender [ Scarlett ] played on the most dangerous forward [ Bradford ]

Playfair played his best game for the year I think. He will never be a goal kicking CHF but he did a great job further up the ground aswell as chasing.

One thing I would never have associated Henry with before today...his chasing and tackling was sensational for a big man. Great to watch

Why?

His such a show pony.

SJ has to stay in the team, and at GFC. The reason is that Chapman now is a strong leader up the ground. This year he has become more of a HF link man, taking strong marks up in the middle and sometimes in the back half.

This leaves Jnr as the only real crumber we have in the forward line, ok, Stokes is ok at that, but as shown in the last couple of games he can have down ones, which is excepted for a rookie.

SJ hit the outside of packs exceptionally well yesterday, he hopefully will remember to do this more often.

As for Playfair, what a good effort. When he was beaten by someone else's opponent, he didn't give up, he chased like a man possessed, and brought down someone once to set us up for a goal. He also was a very good link man, which is what we need at CHF. If he is pushed out for Mooney I'd be surprised.

On a whole it was a good team effort, let down a bit by goal kicking, but otherwise they chased and worked hard. They haven't won there since 1993 so it was a good one to come away with the points.

Bartel will most likely go for a week, the raised elbow isn't all that good. The commentators as usual had their say, therefore it will be picked up.

Freo should lose next week, here's hoping that the Cats smash the Saints.

Yeah he played ok.

But so what he lead up the ground for easy junk possesions on the wing. That one set-shot on goal said it all. We have fare to many blokes on this list that simply can't kick a goal from 40m out straight in front. Not good enough.

I'll give him credit for his second efforts and defenceive pressure though.

I thought Hunt was tremendous, he runs straight at the ball and never hesitates. Has anyone noticed that his first option now is to go quickly up through the centre of the ground - rather than via the wings. Has made a huge difference to the impact he has.

I'm not sure Playfair is the clear choice to be dropped. Can improve but worked hard and covered a lot of territory. Demonstrated why he may have a future and McCarthy doesn't. Love to see him hold more marks and kick straighter though.
