Daytripper has a point , history says that if 4 out of the 6 make it we will have an extremly good draft. You only have to go through the draft history of every club to find that it is very likley that 3 out of our 6 draftee's from the last draft wont be around in 4 years time.
I'm not arguing that history suggests that 3 out of the 6 draftees won't be around in 4 years time, but I also think history suggests that this year could be an outlier for Essendon. Essendon drafted all 6 players inside the top 50 picks with 3 inside the top 20. History suggests that it is usually the players outside the top 50 that don't make it. Essendon has a good history of players drafted in the 40s (Dyson and Welsh come to mind) and that suggests that it is likely that at least one of Houli and Reimers will be around in 4 years time. Top 20 picks have very high success rates which means Hislop, Jetta and Gumbleton should still be there. As for Davey, he looks a steal at pick 36 and whilst other clubs didn't want to take the risk, Essendon should gain a lot from it. I certainly wouldn't be surprised if all 6 were still around in 4 years time but I'm going to tip 5 out of 6 purely because it's going to be so hard for Reimers to get a game with so many young guys that are a bit ahead of him around.
