Thoughts on the Pies game

And send Jamar the Sandringham train timetable because that's where he's spending the rest of the year. Looking like the guy in the Crime Prevention Matters ad can only get you so far.

Gotta say, it's good to see PJ playing well. I think it's best if (when not in the ruck or on the bench) plays leading up from CHF. He's got the big body and some good hands. Not the greatest set shot, so I say let him share Miller's old job with Bate.

I'd like him deeper, I reckon he's a ripping set shot from 50 out after a quick lead. Sure he missed two today but they were beautiful long kicks, as fluent as Neitz if not better.

The AFL members bar in the second half was a great larf. Ferals all round. Davey took a mark "Stupid black bastard" Kicks the goal "black ****" then a fight involving 3 pies fans who were mates over whether or not Clement was playing.

I think "cultured" is the best way to describe them. Seriously though, I kick myself for it, but every year I'm suprised at how "cultured" they are. It's truly amazing, one generalisation that rings true. At one stage I just sat there and looked around me, thinking "I'm in a mad house. These people are truly crazy"

Good game, I thought we had you at 3 quarter time. Have to admit that the Robbo push broke my heart, but we had plenty of chances after that.

Rocca was dissapointing in his lack of leadership, dutchy ripped his arm out of its socket in every contest, but instead of wearing it on the chin and giving a contest, Rocca lost the plot and gave away stupid free kicks.

Neitz gets that sort of treatment from the umpires week in week out, rocca and Barry Hall could learn a bit from Neiter and how he handles it.

The 3 deliberate rulings were all terrible, however both of the Mlebourne ones led directly to goals....

The Maclean decision was a shame, but you might want to check the rule book - it was 100% correct.

You blokes will ruin a few finals aspirations this year - well played. With River, Maloney and a few others to come back you'll be very dangerous.

Brock was good again today and I thought Sylvia did some special things. I think Brock is sure showing the media that Deledio din't deserve that rising star award, just like Heater vs Pearce.

see you in 8 weeks :thumbsu:

All i can say is Well Done Dees.
Can't wait till the next game in round 20 i think, both teams should be full strength and it will be a close game again, cheers :thumbsu:

These are the people who vote...

your kidding me right !

that was the robbery game of 2007'... yeah the pies (espec Rocca) were pretty stupid for the constant & somewhat delicate hands in the back ( this dumbarse rule needs abolishing) ...and yup, the Pies paid the price !
but you lot , ohh no - do the same thing, any the many other dumb things you lot did ....and it's - play on - play on .

if you could'nt see the differance here, there's seriously something wrong with you.... far too biased to see passed your own nose.

arr well.....enjoy your 2nd LUCKY win - and enjoy the rest of the season.

Bwahahahah :)

the funny thing is, we're 15th and i'd still rather be us than you. Going nowhere fast the pies

Just finished watching the match replay then. My favourite bit was easily Sylvia's shrug off of his opponent (even if it was a first gamer) which resulted in a goal. McLean definately was best on ground after Robbo.

With the McLean decision, I didn't believe it was the right one, as I thought the umpire paid deliberate but there is no way Brock would have known as he threw the ball into the chair as soon as he crossed the boundary, and the umpire certainly delayed the 50m penalty, as it looked like he paid it for nothing.
