Don't know whether we need a thread like this, we'll see if it lives or dies.

I'll start with this: Is it fair to attribute what must be a scary number of injuries thus far in the season to the increased pace of the sport, brought on changes in the rules intended to speed up play? And indeed, even setting considerations of injuries aside, how fast is too fast?
 
I don't think the speed of the game was an impact when two Raiders clashed heads or when Pearce did his pec. AFB got his knee knocked and I think the Mann one was just bad tackling technique.

Keary? ACL. Lots of concussions which I don't think comes down to the speed of the game.

I dunno really.
 
Might as well put this here, I don't know if it made the news in Australia, but Hull KR scored apparently the fastest try of all time, at 7 seconds, at the weekend. I just watched it on the highlights show: kick-off looks like it's going to bounce over the side-line, having been missed by a defender, but it takes a leg-break, bounces inside the touch-line, the winger follows up and scores in the corner.
