We are like having an alcoholic gambling addict parent. You get excited that this year you'll spend a normal family Christmas together but then find he's hocked all your possessions and got you kicked out of your housing. You'll spend Christmas sleeping in your car outside grans house pretending you are normal but everyone knows that you are s**t and judges you but pity stops them being mean.

I just find it so funny. I posted earlier in the week that it'd be an 8 goal war and that it'd be 3 goals to 2 at half time. I was taking the piss and trying to think of the most uninspiring circumstance...but it ends up actually becoming reality. Sad, sad state of affairs. Not sure I've ever gone from being angry at the club to laughing at them. I'm in a very dark place with this shitshow at the moment.

There was this old Twilight Zone episode where a guy sees a gremlin ripping apart the outside of a plane. A guy sees the gremlin from his seat but no-one believes him and tells him he's insane. Or maybe that was the Simpsons one. Anyway same shit.

• Watching the most boring footy in the AFL
• Death riding the Crows R2 pick
• Which top 5 mid to draft
• Can we convince an a grade FA to come to the club

We had a change to normal programming last season....and what a ride it was.

This is the most disillusioned I've ever been with the club. At least when Watters was at the helm we were meant to be terrible. This re-build is in it's 11th year and has delivered absolutely nothing.

Reading the first few pages of this thread is funny. Blokes like Billings, Acres, Gresham, Coffield all talked about as the future saving grace!
I #eco'd about half way through the last quarter on Saturday. Just felt a numbness wash over me. It was cleansing.

LH.......the numbness starting washing over me pretty well midway thru the 2nd 1/4.

And of course they did the mandatory tease in the 3rd when we hit the front and went 10 points up.

I like to think that I'm a reasonably optimistic person.....yet realistic.

We can't see thru the current malaise.....but I guess what I'm saying is:

One of my all time favourite shows the Chemistry between Shatner and Spader is so underrated its criminal.

3 years of decent drafting has really turned around our fortunes. We were going nowhere under Pelican, Trout and Lethers. We got sucked in by bullshitters every time.

No wonder we went back to the last guy who didn't take us for a ride. We were like a dopey drunk hillbilly at the county fair trying to navigate the carnys.

Those bumbling ****wits sold the farm for a bag of fairy floss every time.

I am somewhat ECO, but nothing near the extent that I am about Liverpool Football Club this year, even when we were actually in the title race. Don't know whether it's the ever-increasing push towards a global corporation or the profligate goal kicking, but I have lost so much passion for football (soccer) in general, and the way the AFL is going, I can see the same happening.

Maybe it's for the best, supporting football teams has sucked up way too much of my energy, time and money over the years.

It's just a game, a stupid little game. What a waste of time.

It’s because Liverpool finally had the success we’ve been craving since Rafa Benitez.

As I always say with St Kilda, just give me one premiership and I’ll take 10 wooden spoons to follow.

With Liverpool we won all we could, we finally felt peace.
