Of our three most recent flags in 08, 13, 14. How would you piece together your ultimate GF.

Would it, in fact, be the 4 quarter demolition of Sydney we've all just witnessed. Or Q1 against Freo, keeping them goal-less (with a little help from their sharpshooters). Q3 against Geelong - Enter Stewie Dew.

My Four Quarters.

Q1 - vs Sydney. 3 out of 4 dollars was going on the Swans. not many gave us a chance. The intensity in which we hit them was amazing. 5 goals and a 20 points lead was almost unthinkable.
Q2 - vs Sydney. 10 scoring shots to 3, in what was a display of "total football". We hassled, harassed and smashed them physically. Our tackling was immense.
Q3 - vs Geelong. After the cats hit the lead, we kicked 6 goals to 2. The Rioli Crumb goal, and most memorably, Stewie Dews 5 minutes of mayhem.
Q4 - vs Fremantle. After Freo came back at us in the third. 10 points was never going to be enough. Smiths long-Bomb, Lake's Marking.

Agree with the OP.

Any excuse to bring this out.
It is freaking unbelievable. In 5 minutes;
  1. Huge contest mark on the wing against Kelly - goal assist to Rioli (may not get credited but I'm paying it)
  2. Goal off one step from 50 :D the guy wearing hoops at 1.20 ought to be ashamed of himself
  3. Scrap with Scarlett, Taylor and Hunt in the pocket - another goal assist this time to Williams - god Hunt is useless
  4. Snap from the pocket - BOOM :D Hunt freaking useless again :D
  5. In 5 minutes, 1 awesome contested mark, 2 kicks for 2 goals, 2 handballs, 2 goal assists :D:D:D
I think that will always be my favourite grand final.

Some would say the same for 2014.
Not really

Sydney and Hawthorn were the front runners for most of the season, the Hawks led the Power by 5 goals halfway through the last before we lost Lewis and just stopped

In 2013 the Cats and Hawks headed the ladder for most of the year and were odds on to vy off in the GF before the Dockers upset the apple cart in Geelong

The two best sides across the season played off in 2014, not in 2013

Fair enough. Although the Power were the 2nd best team in the month that it mattered most IMO.

I'd struggle to get any of 2013 in there. A typical Lyon game unfortunately and not much worth re-watching. It was the one disappointing part about that Premiership, that the GF isn't worth rewatching. Ah well, the prelim is worth a look, particularly romping home in the last quarter.

3rd qtr of the 2008 grand final is the best quarter of football I have ever watched. And I have probably watched in 20 times.

Yep, people saying the Hawks were lucky to win a premiership in 2008: have a look at that brilliant quarter of slashing, attacking football at its best.

That's how to win a premiership!
