your team had the easiest 3 peat in history
Part of the Richmond hate is no doubt due to the fact that most footy supporters don't rate their list as highly as they rate the other highly successful teams of this era.
I reckon a lot of supporters look at Richmond's list, and then look at their club's list, and think that there isn't much difference. You'd have to agree really. I think as coaching gets more and more refined, we're entering an era where list quality is less important than it was even 5-10 years ago. It's still a big factor, but culture and gameplan seem more important than ever before.
Top end talent like Dusty and Lynch helps of course. And The Tigers still have a few underrated players. But the competition of top teams in the last few years is less than around 2007-2017 without a doubt.
Hawks struggled to beat the Richmond sides of that era let alone this era.
Quoted for truth. OP looks like a Richmond Benny setting up the Hawks to be dunked on.Hawks struggled to beat the Richmond sides of that era let alone this era.
That being said its 2 very different styles. Hawks had good small forwards back then who would have put the current Richmond backbone under pressure.
Nup. Hawfs, whilst very good, got a fckn armchair ride in the GF's '14 and '15 with "Things Jack Darlingdrops" and "Ross Lyon invented GF choking"PLAYERCARDSTART27Jack Darling

Hawfies getting so hot and bothered about their standing in “dynasty discussion”..
We haven’t even won a 3rd yet... Deep breaths guys
And let us not forget how close hawthorn came to gifting Freo a flag.

Cotchin is invaluable to Richmond does all the hard work and hurts players when he tackles, in the best players yet again on Friday, still at this stage Hodge is slightly in front.Doubtful. This Richmond team really play for the jumper. That hawthorn team was made on mercenaries.
Hodge >>> Cotchin any day of the week though.
LOL ok.Cotchin is invaluable to Richmond does all the hard work and hurts players when he tackles, in the best players yet again on Friday, still at this stage Hodge is slightly in front.
Its thanks to Cotchin that we play so hard for the jumper and he also set Dusty up to be the supreme player he is, that alone makes Cotchins worth priceless.
