Just wondering...
assuming Bomber is still coach next year, and the selected assistant coach will then take over in 2008 depending of course on the result of the club... so my question is, what ladder position would we need to obtain next year for you (meaning all who read this post) to be happy with keeping Bomber beyond season 2007?
Finals? Grand Final? Premiership? Simple improvement?

I'd say nothing short of a flag flying down at Kardinia park at seasons end. Simply another finals appearance without the ultimate success would prove nothing the way I see it, been there, done that, win a flag or show him the door, which personally I'd do now to be truthful.

I would say a SERIOUS tilt at a premiership, ie. premiership, grand final appearance or really narrow preliminary final loss.

On the other hand, are our expectations too high? That is, do we have the forward line to go all the way? Either way it's Bomber's problem (7 or 8 years) and if he gets to see out his contract we'll find out.
