Because Jake King has balls, something JON is yet to discover. He will grow them in time but he is just nutless at the moment.

JON has played out a full game with a broken arm and last year played out a full game with a crack in his shoulder if i recall correctly. He isnt as aggressive as King but is every bit at as hard and tough.

I dont mind Kingy but he will not be apart of our next premiership side. He is a back pocket who gives his opponent way to much freedom, will never become a tagger or midfielder.

Hmmm in honesty my post was a bit harsh, I do not think he is exactly ball-less in that way, more in the way of grunt and mongrel. King has a way of sparking the team with something he does, whether it be putting his body on the line, sticking up for his team mates or just showing a bit of spice. I have not seen that from JON yet I should have clarified a lot better, my bad

Im not having a go at Kingy either love his mongrel, and connors while we are on it. But he often leaves a lot to be desired defensively and it annoys me that he gets away with so much more compared to JON who is 4 years his junior.

Oh for sure, Kingy does make a fair few critical mistakes, it is kinda a tough choice, especially for a game like today.

Do you think there is any chance he was brought in just to try and bring some of that old tiger mongrel into the centenary game?

Very much agreed that JON has not had much of an opportunity as of yet to show his strength, I would love for him to turn into a small work horse in the future, I just do not think he showed enough in his previous games to play in today's game.

Lets just hope Terry knew what he was doing

Don't agree with King coming in. He was playing poor footy before he was injured and should have had to earn a recall through coburg.
